Has anyone else noticed these mistakes in Angel?

During season 3, i noticed a couple of mistakes made in Angel, and i was just wondering if anyone else had seen them..

ok, number 1) in one of the last episodes of season 3 (or maybe THE last i can't remember...) it shows you a picture of Angel and Cordelia and the others. but surley if a vamp hasnt got a reflection how can he be photographed? i mayh be wrong in saying that was a mistake but i'm not sure...

and mistake number 2) in the opening bit of Angel (i cant think of what the opening bits are actually called, but the ones when the music plays and it says who plays who) if you look at the very last scene you see Angel walking down a dark alleyway (how unusual!) anyway you can see he walks over a puddle of water and you can clearly see his reflection in it-but what was that littlething about vampires having no reflection i wonder.... ok, it might only be the opening bit and only for a second or so, but its still a mistake 🙂

just wondered if anyone else had spotted these or whether to label myself as one of those sad weirdos who spend too much time watching t.v

🙂 Well, in Are You Now, or Have You Ever Been? Cordelia and Wesley find a photograph with Angel in the background, from 1952 and this is what is said:

Wesley: "Well. Now we know one thing for certain."
Cordelia: "Yup. It's not that vampires don't photograph, it's just that they don't photograph well."

So that isn't a mistake. 🙂 But you're right about the second one, his reflection can be seen in the puddle. That was just part of the scene, and when editing must have been overlooked. Everything can't be perfect. 😉
 
I think there are a number of scenes throughout the series when vampires doing stunts are seen reflected in windows, windshields, water, etc. (Mirrors they're pretty careful about.)

I guess there's only so much you can keep up with.
 
Speaking of mistakes..

In series 1 of Angel, the first episode actually, Angel blows out a match....A simple yet impossible task for a vampire! During season one of Buffy, when the master drowns her, Angel is unable to resuscitate her because he has no breath...

That has just always really bugged me! 🙄

After watching the season 2 DVD (Region 2 widescreen) I noticed a big mistake in the pre-credit sequence of the first episode. As the camera is following them across the gym using the mirror Angel is not seen but just before they walk closely passed the camera you see him standing to the right of the picture waiting to step into position. So when they do walk passed closely Angel is there making it look like he had no reflection in the mirror.

I don't know whether it was a mistake or if they thought they could get away with it because they thought it would not be shown in widescreen. It is very obvious especially once you notice it.

Anybody else seen it, it will only be clear on the widescreen version but the reason why I looked when watching the DVD is because something caught my eye while watching the 4:3 version on tv.

As it is so obvious then they could have rectified it somehow for the dvd release maybe. I will try and get a picture of it.
 
Ha! I wish Angel would come out in DVD in the U.S. I'd like to check that one out.

I don't know, does it? But once you spot one then its hard to forget it

Me too!!! And how do they smoke????? The cigarette wouldn't even light to start with without the vampire inhaling!! And you always see breath coming out of their mouths in cold weather😕

Yep! It kinda bugs me, it is more of a Buffy stuff up though as it was in Buffy that Angel said he had no breath which started the whole thing!

Angel also checks his breath when he is going to meet Cordy at the end of S3. I noticed it then too 🙂
