Has Cangel become one of the major ships?

I know that I , myself, was surprised to hear that some thought it wasn't. Cangel arc'd over a period of three seasons. How can it not be major?

Oh my! This is one of my new fav ships! I'm just on season 1 of Angel at the moment, but woah! Their chemistry is off the hook! I havent read any spoilers, but it's really that major a focus on the show? I cant wait to watch it! So much Cangel to catch up on! (and fanfic I suppose hehe) Yay!

I didn't participate in any discussions when the shows aired, but I hear a lot of BtVS fans rumored against C/A and so Joss dropped it. If it is true, it was a shame and once again provides Joss inclination through BtVS world rather than AtS world...
