Have You Ever Been In A Fight?

I'm like the calmest girl around, never have raised my voice or shouted at anybody. Too patient with even the ones that don't deserve it. 😀 But in sixth grade I got really mad at that small ugly annoying boy b/c the creep dared to publicly punch me without a reason "just to show how the punch should be made". So I looked at him and said "oh, you're gonna sorry that!" and made this surprizing attack and hit him real hard over and over again. The boys around me were shouting for me which was fun 🙂 After like two minutes the fight was over and the creep stayed away from me until graduation mwahaha. But I felt really bad after the fight b/c I hate hurting anyone whether with words or physically 🙁 As I said too nice to exist in such a cynical world 😛 .

If there wasn't the story about the boy I could have wrote this! :)
I have never been involved in a fight and I hope I never will (I think I'd loose... No muscles...)

I'm not the kind who likes to fight. I prefer to have a discussion.

Hey, you wouldn't lose if you believe you'd win :P
Hmmm...my fighting days.

I remember when I got in a fight outside of the church. It all started when this boy and his cousin were looking at me and kept whipsering. So of course I ignored it. I was thinking as long as they dont say nothing to me then Im good. So church let out and the adults had a meeting. The kids were outside waiting. The boy pushed me so I pushed him back because I have very quick reflexes. Then his cousin jumped towards me and tried to hit me. I ducked and grabbed his arm and threw him to the ground. He tried to spear me but i tackled him down and started punching him. And then it was over. I dont remember anything else cause when I fight i tend to black out

I have occasionally defended myself, since I was the weaker of the people in my classes throughout primary school, high school and the first year of university I got beaten up a lot. Sometimes I got so sick of going home bloody and bruised I punched back. Only to be the one punished for it, despite one time being given a 4 inch gash on my face for no reason by some idiot.

But I tend to loose myself in a situation like that, nearly broke someone's arm when I was about 10, I may be small but at times I can hit hard. They deserved it, but I just never cared for how angry it could make me, and so most of the time I ended up letting them hit me.

Its not like my parents or teachers cared enough to make it stop *shrugs*

Yup, it would be dangerous if you lose yourself in it. You can become addicted to the pain-anger thing.
I've been in some fights. I was bad in high school. Most were started because they were mad that I made them look stupid in front of people for trying to start something. Now you wouldn't catch me fighting anyone. I settle my problems with words.

:O you were bad? i can *cough* CAN'T believe it...shame. :p jk
I've always been able to talk my way out of anything. There was one 'physical fight' I was in but it was one sided so I don't think it counts. This guy kicked my cat as I was looking out the window so I ran out the house and pretty much beat the crap out of him.

His mum turned up at my door (I was 18 at the time) and when I told her why I did it she smacked him one.

I'm not a fan of violence but just don't touch my pets or my family.

Good for you! Beat him up!
A couple of times. In High School.

One time in tenth grade it was this group who essentially were probably made of the nastiest people in the school (you know the type) they threw food at us, then tried to force feed this I don't know what it was to my friend. When I knocked their hand away they tried to grab me and do the same to me and the main girl ended up with a sprained wrist. And me, being the straight A student I was, didn't get any blame. Ah the usefulness of being the good girl. Haha.

And the other time would have been in.....my last year of High School. Me and a group of friends were in center of town at night, having just done the cinema thing, and these two guys tried to mug us. Panic ensued along with the instinct of 'no way am I giving this guy my purse'. So I employed my mother's advice of 'pick up something heavy and hit them with it. We were near a bulding site so....we ended up kicking over some of the supplies into them and running off...only to have them cut across us. So yes, there was a fight then. I've always done self-defence classes since I was about..eleven I think so I could handle myself. Especially with my friends there as well. So we were able to hold them off, and do some damage natch, haha until another friend got over help in the police sense of the word. My foot had connected with one of the guy's chins though at some point and he had the nerve to try and report *me* to the cop! Naturally though, the policeman didn't really acknowledge that. The nerve though. I think that's what got me most mad!
Now when we look back on that night though we mostly end up laughing though at the time it was pretty scary.

Wow, Slayer Comma The, I'm really sorry you had to go through that! I'm glad the muggers were stopped, though.

I had some near-misses in jr. high. I was (still am, really) a tiny little thing -- the weak, skinny, crutches-bearing type that some of the general troublemaking types liked to bully. I remember a couple of incidents in which fights were narrowly avoided. I found that yelling and threatening right back usually tended to make the bullies back off, whereas cowering just egged them on. I figured this out quickly. The result was that, although we came close to serious physical confrontations a couple of times, no one ever beat me up. I remember getting really angry -- so angry that I'd shake -- and getting right up in the bullies' faces. Generally by that point, two groups of friends would step in for the bail-out, both sides pulling the other away. That stopped in high school when I pulled a teen movie and got all pretty and popular in the space of a weekend. lol That's another story unto itself.

I also had fights with my little sister (who was like twice my size by the time she was 10) and her best friend and my two best friends. These weren't real fights. They were just play fights, but I was able to take my sisters and my friends despite my size/health condition disadvantage. I think that's what gave me the confidence to stand up to the bullies, actually. The last time I ever fought anyone, it was my little sister. My mom wanted to see who would win now that my little sis was so much bigger, so she gave us permission to fight. Hehe. It was fun! We broke a lamp and everything, but we still didn't get into trouble! And I won, of course. No way was I gonna let my little sister kick my butt.

It was weird. I had this fierce, angry, sort-of-excited reaction to fights. It made me a better fighter than I really should have been given my physical condition. Also, I was no stranger to dealing with painful injuries, so I was less afraid of being injured in a fight than I was angry. I think that's why the bullies backed down. I was small, but when provoked, I had this weird confidence behind my threats that, apparently, convinced my would-be-opponents that I was serious. A bluff is a powerful thing. I probably couldn't have done much damage, but because no one ever called my bluff, I never really had to fight.

Back in school I got pushed around sometimes but I never threw anything back to turn it into a fight. One time someone choked me and held it on too long until I turned purple. Friends were around but no one wanted to touch that tough guy.

Also once I was threatened in the street by some random psycho. Wanted to take me aside for a fight, or he would stab me. I refused and didn't get stabbed, just some spit in my face.

I don't start fights. Just had some unlucky encounters with bad people.

Geez! Especially at the second one, lol.

Back in the day as a YOUNG Master III, I was in a few fights.
My inner Angelus was released back in the sixth grade when a bully tried to mash my face into an unflushed pile of feces inside a toilet bowl in the boys bathroom at school (poor little clownster didn't succeed, though.....longer story), and ended at age 25.

That final fight was at a former job. I'm usually very punctual, but that morning I arrived a mere five minutes late to work. The shift supervisor with an extra-large god complex began to verbally abuse me in front of everyone, and he got very nasty and personal.
That was it. I lost it and threw a hard punch that landed nearly halfway in his mouth, which tore three roundish holes over my last three knuckles on my right hand from his teeth (I have smallish fists, you see...and he was still in the middle of flapping his gums when the punch landed). We were immediately separated, and I was subsequently removed from that work site (not fired, as I didn't work directly for them).

Long story made...less long....I haven't fought since (not in the physical sense, anyway), which is no mean feat in a city like New York.

Wow, you are hardcore. LOL
Does fighting with your brother count 🙂

Like Faith said I'm usually able to talk myself out of fights. I remember being out one night round town and this girl came over mouthing off. I told her that if she wanted to take it outside I'd see her at the door. She was all talk and walked off without saying anything else. I was in a couple of fights when I was at school at about 12ish. Then when I went to senior school (high school for those in America) I used to get called, so one day I turned around and thumped a lad. The calling stopped but I'm wiser now and I realize that lads nowadays have no problem hitting girls back, so I'm more careful 🙂

VisionGuy agrees: Wow, you are hardcore. LOL

No, I WAS hardcore. Ancient history. Past tense. Lol.
I'm a little too fluffy a person, these days. Well....not really, I still have the key to OMgelus's cage if I ever need him one day. 😛

Out of all the drama that surrounds me constantly, I can only say I've been in one physical confrontation.

Possibly long story: there was a minor fiasco one Halloween that I happened to star in that ended up being a stupid misunderstanding. Everyone else involved in this fiasco ended up being cool with me except my boyfriend's best friend's girlfriend [if you understand that at all]. My then-boyfriend and I spent a lot of time over at his best friend's [same one] sister's place, and his girlfriend was there constantly. This, of course, makes hanging out extremely uncomfortable.

We tried hanging for a while, then one night we were over at his BFF's sister's boyfriend's parent's house [OMG OKAY THIS IS GETTING ANNOYING] and I hugged his BFF goodbye and his girlfriend FREAKED OUT. I laughed, tra la do, and walked away.

A week later I was over at one of my boyfriend's friends houses and this girl ended up coming over to basically talk shit to me for a whole forty-five minutes. Contrary to popular mythology, I tend to be on a pretty even keel for a long time before I explode. This girl was very immature and she was dating one of my friends, so I just decided silence was the better part of valor UNTIL...

She got done screaming at me finally, and I very coolly turned around and went to go back into the apartment complex. She blocked by way and started screaming at me some more, and I SNAPPED and screamed into her face and she punched me.

Since this story is already long enough, basically I punched her in the head a bunch of times and it ended with my boyfriend's BFF's sister yanking me off of her. I dunno. I felt like that entire scenario didn't need to happen in any way, because all she had to do was listen to me for five seconds and that would've never happened.

.:sigh:. Well, my tolerance for shit talking has shrunk.

Never ever. Those of you who know me will know I can be an absolute bitch when I want to be (most of the time actually 😛) and do like to argue (all of you who dont know me will learn that soon enough 😛) but I have never been in a fight.

Twice I have been hit (both times by the same girl) Basically because she could not accept the fact that I didnt like her. We'd argued online a whole lot. It got really nasty. The first night I met her she was drunk and waving in my face to say hi (there was a whole big thing but she thought we were friends) and I told her to **** off. I was in a really bad mood and anyone else would have accepted that (knowing what Im like in a bad mood). Not her. Punched me in the face.

The second time was about the third time Id met her. She tried to talk to me again and remembering what happened last time I was as nice as I could possibly be (if you knew the girl you'd understand) All I said was I didnt want to be her friend. She cannot accept that sometimes you just dont like people. Some people you just dont want to be friends with. I didnt even say it in a bitchy way. Anyway, she hit me again then told the bouncers (both times it was in the club I always go to) that I pushed her. No one believed her of course.

I havent seen her since.

My fiance on the other hand. Always in fights at school. The only peope who ever one were his brothers. He's 6' 4 and his brothers are bigger.
Now he does thai boxing.

Needless to say, the girl will not get away with it again!

Sorry, but I'm addicted to this video, so I thought I'd post the link for it since it was my inspiration behind starting this thread! These are some of the best fight scenes from Buffy! My favorite would have to be the one between Buffy and Angel with the swords!
