Have you ever felt like Dawn in Blood Ties? You know feeling lost, not knowing where you belong in the world?

I did. I'm not adopted or anything like that, but there were times I felt unaccepted and rejected. I have this huge distrust with people - I always think someone just wants to use me or is pretending to be nice, while badmouthing me behind my back, even though my fear in most of these cases is not justified. I just can't accept that anyone would love me the way I am.

Yeah...I'm pretty much convinced that no one actually likes me. Not even my family...my aunt is the only person I believe. Haha it's so ridiculous.
Yes I did not very long ago. But then I start a Buffy-rewatch and I said to myself: When Xander has such a happy mood I can have that too"! Sounds crazzy but he pushed me up with the role the writters gave him! He was always happy, he had problems in math and friends but anyway he was always happy and cool in school! That really impressed me. So I tried to live everyday with a happy mood from the time I stand up. Saying to myself I can go through the day with a happy, open mind mood or with a mood with doubts, exams and foul-mood. Works almost every day now 😀. Life goes more easier and I enjoy my days much more than I used to do!

Great post ^.^
I did, and unless you're in a situation similar to Dawn's, I don't think it's really a huge thing.
EVERY teenager feels insecure at some point. I remember being on MSN, and saying to people, "Do you think (example name) Jenny likes me? I know I'm really annoying..."

It's only when I got a little older, 18ish, that I realised that everyone HAD liked me, and if anyone didn't, it's because it's annoying to be constantly worried about people's opinions of you.

I still sometimes feel like I'm ignored, and people are talking over me, but I recognise that everyone feels like that sometimes. It's part of life, and it's not personal, and it's not intentional either.

I'm a lot happier now too 🙂

I'm just convinced that everyone feels that way as a teenager haha and when you get old you just don't give a kitty
Feeling lost and thrown into the world is a fundamental part of being human. We didn't ask to be born and be faced with the prospect of making choice after choice and forging relationships with people who will one day wither and die like ourselves. It's not a fair deal on the face of it (at least if you're an atheist, religious folk have it a bit easier imo) and I think it's something that we all think about at some point or other.

So yes, I have. I've been in a similar situation and it wasn't a happy time. But still, you live and learn. Not much else to do.
