I've only walked out on one, and that was The Da Vinci Code...My friends called me to see if I wanted to see United 93, and since that seemed more interesting then the Da Vinici Code, I went and saw that instead.

Underworld with Kate "No, you're thinking of Evangeline Lilly" Beckinsale is without a doubt the worst film I've ever seen, but I'm glad I've seen it because I appreciate everything else so much more. Colours seemed brighter, sounds clearer, acting better in every film I've seen after that. Even the sunshine seemed somehow brighter afterwards, because it meant that I was no longer watching Underworld. I didn't walk out, because it's mesmerising in it's own way, like watching somebody perform surgery on themselves.
Flightplan is the second worst, and I came very close to walking out of that one because I wanted to leave with my respect for Jodie Foster intact.
I should have walked out of Silent Hill right before they got to the church, because up until then it was good. Then some mad eyed crack addict with stocks in a barbed wire CGI workshop took over and turned it into... well... that.
But for the fact that I was watching it on DVD, I would have walked out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, which was a pointless, gratuitous exercise in snuff-style cinema. And I love horror films. This was just gore as pornography.
So no, I've never walked out of a movie, but I've come fairly close.

I actually had to walk out of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, 'cause I'm EXTREMELY afraid of spiders, and I couldn't handle the BIG SCREEN ones. They were big enough as it was on little screen.

I have never walked out on a movie. I generally only go see movies I was really wanting to see anyway, and I'm going to see the whole thing if I paid for it. I really wanted to walk out on The Devil's Rejects because it was crap and I despised it, but I was on a double date type thing and couldn't just leave...
I loved Silent Hill. That movie totally rocked.
I also like the first Underworld movie, and I love that the colors are all dull...it makes it more interesting.

Hm I think I'd be too embarrassed to actually walk out on a movie. I have fallen a sleep (on purpose) a few times though during different film festivals.. And I have walked out on many plays and operas, well, left during the break...

Don't get me wrong, it had it's moments... but they were all from the games. The Grey Children, the peeling rooms, the what's-in-the-cubicle terrors and the Patient... that was all the good stuff. The Grey Children in particular were tremendous. But when Gans strayed from that, he seemed to lose sight of what he was adapting. The second half feels like it's from another movie altogether. I'm a huge, huge fan of the games, and what makes the games so extraordinary is how strong the characters and their stories are. The cult and it's power politics simply aren't as interesting as, say, why James' inner demons look so suspiciously like hypersexualised female corpses. Besides which, Christianity-bashing was a cheap cliché that the games would never stoop to.
My problems with the movie weren't just about it's flaws as an adaptation. The pacing was sloppy, the acting inconsistent, Sean Bean was totally pointless and Rose's showdown with the Cult was embarrassing. And I really felt that one character's "second death" was obscenely gratuitous.
Still, I did buy the DVD, and I did love the monsters, and I do love Radha Mitchell.

totally agree with your silent hill opinions! (Also a huge fan of the games) Gotta say Sean Bean was terrible in it. Quite a disappointment. I might even go as far to say that the resident evils films were better adaptations! :p

I would have walked out because the movie was just so boring. When I was watching it (when I rented it) I was thinking of taking it out because it was so boring. But I didn't because I figured it would get better.
I also didn't like the 2006 version of "When A Stranger Calls." It was boring. Like Flightplan, the only good part about it was the last 10 minutes. It just didn't have really any point. If I would have seen this in the theaters I would have walked out too.

I paid eight poxy euro to watch Jodie Foster open lockers for two bloody hours!!! I am two hours older, two irretrievable hours older, because I decided to spend an evening watching probably the greatest actress of her generation open lockers, doors, hatches, presses and maybe, if we're very lucky, cabinets of some kind. Good for storage fetishists. Insanely boring for the rest of us. And then..."She... never... gave... up!"
Sean Bean sucked in that, too. I'm starting to worry. He needs to stop looking for dawders.

Don't think I've ever walked out on a movie, I don't think I've ever seen anything that bad at the cinema, whenever I go there it's (most of the times) cause it is a movie I know I'll love, or close to love..
That is something I've done a few times too, at the theater, most plays I've seen lately have been so crazy long for no good reason, and that always annoyes the hell out of me. You should always keep things short and interesting..

I know. Last Saturday I went to see play with my classmates (we didn't have to pay). And after ten minutes I decided to call Joamna during the break, and if she was anywhere near where I was, I'd go get a beer with her instead. Fortunately, she was at a party, so I went back and saw the rest of the play "“ which actually got a slight bit better towards the end (one question though, why are there always naked people on stage in plays I see? Always, it's no fun.)...
It's really not fun, and it's happening to me all the time too. The worst thing was last year when I was in this small theater and we were only about 5 people in the audience and the were lots of naked on the stage, and it really felt weird being only 5 people watching that, gah, ew.

What I find weird about it is that the times I have sene nude people on stage, have always been at these fancy theatres. Like "Dramaten" "“ where basically only older fancier people go, heh "“ or at this weird "dark theatre" in Prague. For example.
