Having More Faith

Look at how hard it was for Buffy when Angel went bad . It would have been even worse for Buffy if Faith had after being her girlfriend for a number of
years had turned against her . And since Buffy & Faith were Slayers Buffy might have felt that she was going to go bad too 😀
 
I'm in the minority, but I like Faith the way she was. I don't think she went bad because of Angel stillbeing there - I see a lot of other reasons. To have a tame Faith would change her too much. Faith as a Scoobie would be...just another Scoobie.
 
Who said Faith would be tamed ? I don't think Buffy would want that 😀

Everyone seems to be talking about Faith bonding with the rest of the group - I like Faith unbonded. Kendra bonded, as much as she was able to. I think that Faith would be a completely different character in order to drop her own defenses, and it seems all afternoon special/she just needed to beloved kinda thing.

I don't know - it goes back to who Faith is. To bond with the others she would need to go back to school, to want to be in school - or be willing to do it for the sake of friendship. There are so many people who say that Faith should have changed in order to be included - and I don't want to see those changes. The reasn I like Faith is that she isn't a scooby, and she isn't willing to pretend to be someone she isn't just to be liked.
 
I don't think Faith needs to bond with anyone. Except for Buffy that is . And she doesn't need to go to school for
that . Well for the meetings yes but that all .

So then what would the good Faith do? Be kind of an adjunct character - Tara, Anya, Riley - not really a Scooby but hanging out with them? I think you lose the complexity of the character if she moves to SunnyD and just becomes the other slayer - the one who is more rough around the edges - the slayer who is not Buffy.
 
Or you could say Buffy the Slayer who not Faith just as well .

Oh I like who Faith is, I don't think she would have to drastically change to bond with the others, or go back to school. I don't think she would necessarily ever be a full-Scooby, more like a Spike or Anya or Cordy type of Scooby. Someone who's there, who's accepted, but not necessarily a part of the Core Four or even entirely willing to be there or work as a team. So she'd still be able to be herself, maybe just with a little less of an edge, at least for a while. As mentioned, I don't think she would ever not go bad. They'd already had Buffy makes friends with good Slayer no2, so if it happened in season 3 or further ahead, Faith would always need to retain/have the potential to go rogue.
 
I think that Faith would get along great with Buffy because they the same & she would be friendy with the rest but not close
to them either .
 
I don't think it would have worked to have both Buffy and Faith together in the same show without them being constantly in conflict with each other. If Faith wouldn't have gone bad she'd been removed at some point anyway. It just doesn't work to have a show centered around Buffy, of how she grows up and becomes a leader, the one who is in charge, when actually Faith is the primary Slayer with the line going through her and all. Faith as side-kick, nah I don't see that. Like some had already pointed out, she'd need to change her personality too much. And we don't want that.

If she'd gotten her own Spin-Off after Season 3 (it may have been prolonged after S04) is a total different matter. Or if Buffy was never resurrected after "The Gift" and Giles pulled some Council strings to bring Faith back out of prison, some kind of redemption arc as the new protector of the Hellmouth; that would have been really cool. The show would've needed a new name and Spuffy fans would've been devastated, though.

So Faith not going rogue in S03 but staying Faith in essence? It would've come to a big bang anyway, in one way or another.
 
I agree with that but i think it would have been more of a impact if Buffy & Faith would have been together before Faith blowing up.
That would have really gotten to Buffy since it would seen that every person she went with turned on her.

Angel turned into Angelus because of the curse, but what excuse would Faith have? If she was in a relationship with Buffy, what would make her turn against her? All good drama is conflict, where is the coflict coming from if not from Faith and Buffy being antagonistic from the start
 
That why Faith & Buffy should be going out . And after the breakup Faith could be bitter & turn against Buffy.
What do you think ?

But why would they break up? It would have to be a pretty bad break up to make Faith go over to the Mayor and decide to kill Buffy and end the world 🙂
 
Faith didn't decide to do all three . She just joined the Mayor & he was the one who wanted to kill Buffy .
