Having trouble posting youtube clips

You need to go to menu above the posting window... The ninth item in the row of choices.
(It's to the right of insert link (looks like two links of a chain, or a figure 8), insert image (looks like a picture of a mountain) and smilies (looks like a smile).
Use the little pull down arrow... and choose insert media.
Paste the URL of the youtube you are trying to share and select 'continue'.

If you're already doing this and you can't make it work, there's another problem I probably cannot help you with! Good luck.

I can't access the menu above the posting window...everything is faint, kind of like see-through...ghostly looking, for want of a better term.
 
Try changing your skin? Could that be the issue?
Does it not work when you just put the link into your post? Like it coverts it when it has been posted?
 
I used to use [youtube] and [/youtube] to surround the youtube URL and it worked but I always got a [/youtube] showing up after the picture. But I suppose in view of what @DeepBlueJoy said, there is a better way.

Unless you cannot see the little menu that is over the text entry box... I had difficulty with my skin for a while, until this skin became available again. I couldn't see a lot of the page correctly. I think some of the results have been quite unpredictable. I would definitely try a new skin to see if it helps.

I use the skin Buffy season 7 (skins accessed bottom left of screen on this Windows machine) -- a nice light blue with good contrast and no transparency, at least not for me.
 
You might like to take note that one heck of a lot of You Tube stuff is being affected by copyright issues.
