Heart-wrenching moment a baby elephant discovers her mother has died... and refuses to leave her side

Even when there is an unwelcome arrival from a number of lions and hyenas, the elephant stands ground over her mother to guard her corpse long into the night.

I feel sorry for these hungry lion and hyena babies. Does this mean I'm a natural born Black Thorn?

I saw a wildlife documentary on TV with similar scenes, they may even be exact, but I couldn't watch that again....
