OMG, that was probably one of the first buffy episodes ive ever seen, and i was like 5 years old it was terrifying :S:S but i still loved it and now when im 12 i would think to myself its not that scary.... but it is now when im thinking about it. its funny though cuz my freinds dont know what buffy is so i like started to sing that song (from hush) at sleepovers and they would FREAK!! haha, ahhh funny times...:fighting1

wow your so young and being 10 years older I feel incredibly old,lol

I remember when I saw Hush. it was possibly the 2nd or 3rd episode I had ever seen. I was 11 and in 5th grade. Wow, time really flies. geeze.

I was 12 or 13 when I first saw 'Hush' and an avid Buffy fan. I was obsessed. I dreamed of actually being a slayer. That's how obsessed I was. I even challenged a really big kid to a fight. That's how insane I was.
'Hush' was amazing. It had the right amount of humour in it too so it wasn't all suspense. It had a real horror-movie feel to it too. I thought it was carried off brilliantly; I would never have imagined a whole episode (give or take) could be played out in silence and be that fantastic.

I was 9. 3rd Grade. On it's ORIGINAL airing. Boo-yah!

And I really wasn't ever scared to watch Buffy. In fact, when I had nightmares about the hookman from "I know what you did last summer" (and "I still know"), it was generally Buffy who saved the day. And now that I've given you a somewhat embarrassing story, I'll be leaving the thread..

I was early teens first watching hush to and it did creep me out, still does now but even more than that the master and der kindestood frightened the hell out of me.

lol I have to say, I was convinced as well that I was going to be a slayer when I turned 16 😛

I was convinced there was gonna be a hellmouth atop of my high school and that i there was a gonna be a group of us that hung out at night in the library fighting evil. Pity it never happened.

I think I was 11 or 12 when I first watched Hush and I loved it!! It creeped me out but I've loved anything scary since I was 7 lol

I love your banner haha That's one of my favorite Giles moments.
I can't remember when I first saw it, but I do remember the chills down my spine. That was one freakishly scary night.

omg samers i was like 6 or 7 (cant mind) and my big sis was watching it.
and me and my friend were terrified, lmao
that was probably the first episode i had seen
ha

i think i was.. 8 or 9 when i started watching buffy with my mom. I think the middle of season one-ish. Though I can't remember which episode it was. But we were both hooked, and watched every single episode after 🙂

I honestly found "Killed By Death" scarier than hush... but I was younger then. It left such an impression on me. I still love it, though it doesn't scare me any more. Hush does, though. Now. It makes me all tense inside, but I love it. It's one of the many Buffy classics, and it SHOULD HAVE WON A FRIKKIN AWARD.

hell yes. that "feeding through the eyes" scene in KBD freaks me out even today, I always look away from the screen!
Clearly the best Buffy episode for me! I might be 15 when I first saw it and since then it's my best Buffy episode ever. And particularly the scene when Giles is explaining who the Gentlemen are to Buffy, Xander, Willow and Anya. So funny! Buffy and her stake. Too good!!! :laugh1:

Oh, and I prefer the dialogue scene between Xander and Spike the morning after their voices were stolen. 🙂

Yeah, along with the previous dialogue -
Sp: - Xander, don't you care about me?
X: - Shut up!
Sp: - We never talk!
X: - Shut up!
Sp: - Xaaander...?
X: - Shut Up!
:heee:

With the fake Anya voice.

I LOVED this episode. I though it was hilarious. The gentlemen were scary and all, But omg the comedy! Like when all the scoobies go into the classroom for a session of these are the gentlemen. I was laughing my arse off. Giles with the images of the gentlemen, Buffy with the hand gesture of the staking and everyones face when they see her doing it, Anya with the popcorn, all so amazingly funny. Plus the dry eraser boards around their knecks and when Willow writes on her board "Hi Giles" and he hugs her. Aww. lol. I really did love this episode alot.

Plus, Both Riley and Buffy find out they have been a little less than honest with eachother about their extracaricular activities.

And btw..Those limpy guys in the straight jackets...Freakin' creepyyyy!

I saw "Hush" when I was... wow, 12 if the original airing date of 12/14/99 is right. It was, and still is, the only episode of Buffy that truly scared me. I wasn't that scared of the Gentlemen though--it's the straightjacket dudes that freak me out!

Hush really is an amazing episode, one of the most classic examples of how Joss and his crew are so great at mixing horror with humor.

I LOVE the slideshow demonstration that Giles does, complete with Buffy wordlessly complaining about her hips haha!

haha, I LOVE that quote, especially the way that Spike does the fake Anya voice!
