David Boreanaz earned the right to the official title of "heartthrob" playing the dark and brooding Angel on Buffy The Vampire Slayer back in the 1990s. 23 years later, and he's still just as dreamy as the day we met him. Let's look back on his hottest moments throughout his career and remember just why we fell in love in the first place.

'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' (1992-2003)

Angel was the original vampire dream boat. While it wasn't ideal for Buffy to fall in love with one of the most famous twisted vampire souls of all time, god was it hot! Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz had so much on screen chemistry it almost didn't matter that he was occasionally horribly evil.

'Angel' (1999-2004)

Boreanaz was so good on Buffy, he snagged himself a spin-off before the show even ended. Starting in 1999, we had all Angel, all the time.

Is DB more comfortable with his association with Angel these days, because years back he used to be quite 'funny' about people keep reminding him about the role.

For me whatever I see him in he will always be 'Angel'. 🙂
 
How about all those times in the first season when he was just 'coming out of the shower' for no reason.

There was the one where Cordelia came to stay with him, and then 'She' and 'Sanctuary'.
How come I can remember them all? Simply put because...shut up!!

Well he hasn't done much other than Bones and Angel. At least they didn't mention The Crow: Wicked Prayer. Where he's wearing like a mesh shirt. I kinda like Valentine as a guilty pleasure.

To be fair the only time we saw a character in the shower it was a girl and they were usually in some physical or emotional pain (Willow and Faith).
Maybe if we had Angel crying in the shower that would correct the disparity?
 
Loved the shower times - hated the tragedies and him looking glum all the time! Joss Whedon really hated Angel lol.
 
I cant even remember the shower times. Maybe I blocked them out. But I do agree Whedon did not like Angel, I think that was apparent.
 
I figured unlike the two nerds in Weird Science he would be sans clothes, but what episodes? Or are you talking about Angel on Buffy? I think I remember Buffy taking a bath once maybe...
 
Without it sounding massively weird that I know this (I've just watched seasons 1+2 back to back) he showers in Rm w Vu when Cordelia barges into his place and She as a result of some sort of intense arousal (I repressed that episode). Can't remember much of it in season 2. I feel there were less Angel sans shirt moments in later seasons. And as much as he is an absolute beaut - I think that was because he had more weight on him whether it was muscle or whatever. I know he had an operation for an injury during Angel which probably had him laid up for a while.

And yes Joss punished that poor guy! I can barely make it through season 3 without switching it off. Seeing his grief over Connor is just awful and then for his memories to be all swiped anyways - really what was the point? Horribly sad storyline 🙁

Can I ask a question: when Angel is naked/shirtless and also getting tortured are you all like, 'Yeah, Angel's in shirtless pain!' 😛
 
Funny, I never found David all that attractive. He's passable, but I never understood the lust some have for him.

Though he seriously made me laugh in Angel. So many great one-liners...and those expressions he can get on his face! Epic. That show also had the best outtakes EVER.

Oh wait, I forgot! I WAS a bit...hot and bothered when he pummeled Riley. Yeah. More please! 😀
