I must confess that I am a n00b to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. A user on another board piqued my interest by touting it as the greatest show in the history of episodic television.

So far, I have watched the first three seasons of BtVS. It turns out that I like the show more than I could have ever imagined. Since the show is in the hour-long format, this can make for some rather talky episodes. Most of them hold up on repeated viewing.

Quite a bit of the dialogue in the episodes seems to consist of long-winded chit-chat among the Scoobies. It has a characteristic candor to it and is not without comedic flavor.

Right now, I am holding my Complete Fourth Season box set as I type this. Bring it on!
