So this is my obligatory hello message, along with a question. So I have just recently been introduced to the brilliance of Mr Whedon and the Buffy universe, and I just finished up season 3 of Buffy. My question is, how do I go about adding in Angel to my watching? Is it okay to simply rip through Buffy S4 or Angel S1 without watching the other at the same time? Do episodes crossover? Do one or the other need to be viewed first? etc etc. I plan on getting to all of the seasons, but I need some guidance from the old pros on the board here. Thanks ahead of time!!

hi and welcome to the BB! you could try and watch buffys4 and angels1 at the same time, as episodes crossover. but if its too difficult the 'previouslys' at the begining of like the btvs ep of the crossover will show you what has happened on both buffy and angel in one case. the prviouslys do keep you up to date. lol. try and watch them near enough side by side tho.
 
Welcome to the boards!

I watched Angel after I'd finished Buffy, but I do want to stagger them with this next watch I'm hopefully doing now. I believe that you can go Buffy 4.01, Angel 1.01, Buffy 4.02 etc., but I'm not positive. Everyone else here is bound to know more than I do, and they'll be showing up shortly 🙂

If you're going to insist on making a typo, don't do it in the big attention seeking text!
Welcome... I'd advise you to watch the Buffy series first, and then turn to Angel. I think you'll get more out of it then. (I know I did)

Welcome to the Boards! I've never watched them in tandem before. All that DVD switching seems positively exhausting to me.

But it´s more fun that way. :D I noticed it too late. I edited the post at least 5 times efter I´d posted it and still managed to miss that. Guess how tired I was? ;) But the important thing was the link so I think I can live with that.
