I recently found the Wedonverse as well. I literally ripped through Buffy and am now taking my time with Angel.
If I were you, though, AND have access to both shows, I would shut yourself away from the internet and watch them both. Start Angel after you finish the last epi from Season 3.
Unfortunately, I was so excited about the shows that I got on IMDB and random sites, and spoiled myself for pretty much everything for both shows. I don't want the same to happen to you. 😉
