I joined this site last year during my annual Buffy re-watch, made a few posts but left after reading too many anti-Spike posts. But now I'm back after starting watching Angel for the first time in tandem with my Buffy re-watch. I'm in the beginning of season 2 and so far so good. I plan on posting the things I love from each season and hope to hear all of your favorite things as well.
 
Welcome. I'd always been warned that this board was anti - Spike but this one seems to have nuanced views and a really nice community. I'm a Spangel fan, but there are all sorts of ships and shippers, as well as many who don't have boats. There are also characters some people dislike, but even those discussions don't turn into flame wars. The moderators are good, and unobtrusive. Only real problem area - the coffee sucks.
 
Welcome back. You're still going to find plenty of anti-Spike posts around here. Lots of positive ones as well. That's the same for most characters, a lively back and forth and exchange of ideas. Hopefully you enjoy it more this time around.
 
Thanks everyone, I am enjoying reading in the many different forums, and I am loving watching Angel for the first time. Seeing Angel in "Over the rainbow" was a great way to start the day.

Yes, Spike can occasionally be a bit of a touchy issue here!!! (and many other places I've seen online now)! But don't let that scare you away though or not offer your own opinion on whatever the topic is. Most people here are really not that bad, as long as you can take their spirited candor with a grain of salt. I myself like Spike for the most part..but it is a little complicated for me. Different opinions are invaluable and are what keep places like this going. Please share yours!
