Hello, there. My name is Tommy. I live in the UK.

I have officially been a fan of Buffy since 2000 - yes since the new millennium. And a fan of Angel since...well, since it started, essentially. I am so happy to find a Buffy community that is still very much active. I hope to meet fans both from the show's original run to those who got into it post-season 7.

My original idea was to find some people who would like to read or help to develop my fanfic. (I would actually find the latter pretty cool as I want to do a novel series, but don't know how to go about it. Plus my skills as a writer aren't so great) and also maybe read fanfics from anyone who might have produced some. But I also intend on contributing to the discussions.

Anyway, that's me!
 
Welcome! I saw your post about Gwen and Xander. 20 years in and there are still 'ships left to sail! Awesome. Keep posting 🙂
 
Welcome to the boards! I'm a lover (and writer) of fanfic, too, though it's been a few years since I've dived into the Buffyverse in that 🙂

I am unsure what you mean by your intention to write a novel series? As the word novel describes the length of a story.

Welcome to the forum! There are a number of writers here so if you look at some of the short stories (which seems to be the popular format), you can get a feel for the style of each writer. This place is intelligent (which is why it is worth staying) and civil (which means the more sensitive artists will not be run off the forum). If you are planning a series, you have to have strong characterization from the beginning and you should plan out the plots of each novel before you write any of them so you don't run into continuity errors. You will find some short stories here in this site, so we have examples if you can't find any in Archive Of Our Own.
 
I seriously hope you write your fan-fics without the same type of awkwardness you use in the spelling of your username. Notice how many members refer to your name?
Do you want to help your fan-fics, go to the section here for fan fiction, write to other fan-fic authors.

lol. Yeah, I did it because I kept thinking of interesting names based on the show but apparently they were taken.
Welcome to the group! You have probably seen that there is a fan-fic forum here. I discovered Buffy just a few years ago, and have found this forum active enough to be worth checking about every day!
 
Welcome. I’m 36 and from Ireland. I’ve been a long-ish fan of Buffy and Angel since 2009 when I started watching both shows on Syfy UK, though I had seen episodes of BtVS and AtS before that around 2002 on tv3 Ireland.

Who are your favourite characters?

And, yeah, I just did my username like that cos any name I came up with relating to the show was already taken. Now I can't figure out how to change it. *insert facepalm here* So much for first impressions. 😆
