The question that always come back. You can't. You'll have to do with the ones here. But by adding pictures to the gallery they can become avatars in the future so if you have a pic that's Whedonrelated and you want to use I suggest you upload it. Not that there's any guarantee that it'll be added and even if it will you need to be patient.

My bad. You can use a custum avatar if you're staff, a dorm prefect or win a certain contest that allows the winner to use on for a short time.

Also, I have one more question. I've noticed that sometimes people's posts will have a little message at the bottom saying "so and so agrees with this".
How do you do that?

This is the karma or reputation feature of the board.
1. To give karma, look in the top right corner of the person's post. You will see a symbol that looks like this: .

3. Click on "Add to Reputation".
Note: It is perfectly okay to leave negative reputation. If anyone on the board tells you differently or criticizes you for it, please contact a moderator.
