hello there, i'm new to boards of any kind but have loved buffy for many years!!!

lol, still need to spread it my karma around, I gotta stop rep'ing you, VG.

Anyway, Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long blog is this internet thing Joss and his brother wrote. Stars Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and the girl who played Vi, who's real name I can't remember. It's supposed to be hilarious, and with the amount of sigs running around BB, I suspect that it might be. I haven't watched it either, but there are links and threads around here somewhere.

And I've just completely hijackerd this thread, sorry Ripper!!

Well, since you have already been adopted, I recommend perhaps getting sorted into one of the houses - it's a fantastic way to make alot of friends on the boards, and to get to know people quicker. I think someone before me has posted the link already but here it is again in case you missed it - The Sorting Tome - Buffy-Boards

Then it's just a case of diving into whatever forum takes your fancy - or you could ease yourself in and post in the general off-topic forum Social Studies - Buffy-Boards . 🙂

I hadn't heard of the new BTVS game, thanks so much for sharing! I do wish that it was for Wii or Playstation or something (mostly because I have a brother with them 😉), but all the same it's great to know they're creating another game! I did google the screencaps, they look awesome. Good outline for a story as well!

what does joining a house actually mean or is it just to group people up?i no where i need to go to do it but its the 1st time i've ever used a boad so dont really understand stuff like that atm any one help?
 
The houses are a way to group people, yes. This is the only board know of that has that feature, though. it's a great way to meet people, and there are house competitions and everything.

*waits for someone to offer a better explaination*
 
It's basically a way to get people to interact with everyone within their own house. You can only view the forum for your own house, and there are always tons of competitons going on, both within each of the houses, and we have inter-dorm comps, where each house is pitted against the other and we're all hoping to win enough points to win the House Cup...which Merrick is SO gonna win back this year. Vahla Ha'Nesh's win was such a fluke. 😉

does this mean if i join a house and say for instance u wernt in that house then i couldn't read your threads or contact you :S i'm so confuzzled lol i'm sure i'll get used to it eventually lolz
 
I'm in Merrick, which means I can't see any forum for any other house. For example, I can't post in Drogyn, I can't read anything in Raiden, and I know nothing about what's going on in Vahla Ha'Nesh. The houses are private places where only people sorted into the respective houses can see.

You can still see my posts on the main fourms, and contact me through PM like we've been doing, but if you get sorted into, say, Raiden, I couldn't see anything you posted within Raiden's fourm.
 
i see thank you, so in the main forums like for all the seasons and check in etc you could see me but in the houses forum u couldnt unless i am in your house?i have a link to be sorted, but where are the house forums? or will that be added to my main page when i've been sorted?
 
You'll be granted access to which house yoyr sorted into after you're sorted. It'll show up at the top of the 'School of Slayers and Demon Hunters' forum, which is the off-topic and fun area of the boards. If you scroll down to near the bottom of the main page, you'll see the link which will take you into that forum.

not rly sure wot to do atm as am waiting to hear what dorm i will b in.anybody collect mechandise and read many books? i've just finished visitors the other day wasn't the best i've read but an ok book
