Hi everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself, and say it's a pleasure to be part of the Buffy-Boards community. I've been a Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan since 2001, when season 6 started. I know what you're all thinking, what a bloody season to get started, but it was really cool.
In the past years such as 1997-2000, i viewed random Buffy episodes here and there, i was kind of a channel jumper, i didn't really commit myself to one show. So anyways, i would see episodes like Halloween from Season 2, and i remember it being so cool and fun, i fancied it very much. Thinking back to that, i am wondering why i didn't get hooked at that point. But it's just of the thing, when you're young (12) and a lot of the time you are out with your mates playing and you don't really know tv scheduales and stuff. Unless your parents are into the show as well i'm guessing.
What really lead me to the Buffy world was one summer day i was sitting on the couch watching Access Hollywood, and the host dude with the big puffy mustache, was going through season finales. He then came on to Buffy's and he said "The whole world is asking, Is Buffy really dead? Well were going to let you know whats going in Sunnydale, after the break". After that moment i said to myself "oh my god, i thought she was invincible, how could she die?!?!"
All in all i watched the end of the show and the mustache dude said "Buffy will be back for sixth season, but there is going to be some major changes". I was so hyped and said i have to watch the Season premier for sure. I did and from that moment i was hooked. I was confused cause i didn't know what the heck was going on. But it was very cool, and from that point on i began to purchase all the Buffy DVD's when they were released. I love the show to death, and wish it would come back in some form.
But anyway, it's nice to meet everyone, hope i didn't mutter on for too long, and i am glad to be part of these boards!
Thanks!
