Hi there! I am new to the boards and just wanted to introduce myself. I am 29 and from Las Vegas.

I watched the first two seasons of Buffy when it first aired. I was in high school at the time, and I stopped watching sometime after Angel went evil, lol. I remember catching an episode or two after that but never got back into it while it was on tv.

Just last month, I decided to finally watch the whole series for the first time and I loved it. I am now a big fan and a Spuffy shipper. I am not a fan of AtS, however: I just could not get into it. I haven't yet read the comics but I am planning to soon.

Anyway, I hope to get to know some other fans here!

Hey, good to have you here! Spuffy shipper? Uh-oh...(I'm just kidding, Buffy/Spike is great). I'd give Angel another shot. I actually think that the best best of Angel is better than the best of Buffy. Either way, hope to see you around!

Hi, nice to see you here - newbie myself 🙂 Anyway, welcome to the board!
 
Welcome to the boards! I like seeing people who are fans of Buffy/Spike, since occasionally it feels like Buffy/Angel is the overwhelming majority. I happen to like both, so I like seeing a balance. (My preferred ship? Faith/Buffy.) Let's stop the shipping conversation.

You should really watch Angel -- I don't think that it's quite as good as Buffy, but it has higher highs... and lower lows (quality-wise, not necessarily emotional, but that could happen too). Just don't expect it to be quite like Buffy -- even when it's the most like Buffy (probably the beginning of Season 5), it has quite a different feel. The first season is difficult to get through, but stick with it -- just like Buffy, stick it out through season 1, because 2 and 3 are REALLY worth it.

Hi Mischlings! Thanks for the warm welcome! I probably will watch Angel at some point, and suffer through the first season, lol. Thanks for the advice!

Season One isn't entirely a slog -- there are some really good episodes in there (I Will Remember You, Five by Five, Sanctuary), but a lot of not so good.

I think those are the three I actually have watched since they were crossovers with Buffy! Lol. 🙂
