Hey everyone,

I've been lurking, as I unfortunately usually do at most boards, up until now, but this seems like a great site so I figured I'd try and break the habit a little.

I only got started watching Buffy last October and I've just recently finished the Angel DVDs, and I'm completely in love with both shows. I had to get the whole DVD sets for both series when I realized how impossible it would be to give the tapes back to my aunt. Thankfully it was around Christmas time. :wink: I'm currently catching up on S8/S6 and I'm planning to watch Firefly soon; I'm sure it will be amazing too.

The main thing that got me about the show is its characters. I've never been as emotionally invested in fictional people as I am with the ones on Buffy and Angel. My top favorites are Cordelia, Giles, and Wesley, although I love everyone for their own reasons.
I'm also pretty easygoing about ships. I enjoyed Angel/Cordelia, Angel/Buffy, and Spike/Buffy (and I didn't mind Riley either), and I adore both Willow/Oz and Willow/Tara. My favorite relationships actually tend to be nonromantic: B/W/X friendship and Buffy/Giles father/daughter, watcher/slayer.

Anyway, I'm still trying to break into the fandom, but I'm not new to forums and I've read the rules so hopefully I'll ease into this without too many problems.

Welcome! I lurked for a few days before diving in, as well. I don't think it's a bad thing to know exactly what you're getting into. I hope you like it here!

Welcome to the boards, Amanda! I can tell you're going to fit right in already; oh, and it's great to see another Cordelia/Angel fan...we Cangel shippers seem to be a minority 🙁

By the way, since you're planning to watch Firefly, let me tell you, it's awesome! I admit, it took me a while to finally get around to watching the entire 2-hour pilot, especially because it starts out veerry slowly...but, if you manage to get through that, I guarantee you'll be hooked!
