Hi all

Thought I should make my first post here and do the usual story about how I started to watch Buffy.

I watched Buffy for the first time like a year and a half ago.
Never thought it would be a show for me, even though many seemed to love it on some boards read.
Then I, by accident, got hooked on Charmed. Another show I had never seen, since I didn't think it would be something for me.
So after seeing all episodes of Charmed, twice, I thought that I would give Buffy a try also.
Bought season 1 DVD and absolutely loved it from the first minute. It was so great, can't really tell you why, it just has something.
Got all the other DVD's and just watched it non-stop.

After that I got all the Angel DVD's. Even though I watch them non-stop also it never got to me the same way Buffy did.
It is still a great show though.

Buffy on the other hand... I think I am on my 5th time watching through all episodes now :biggrin2:

Otherwise, my first Josh Whedon experience was actually Firefly.
Also a great show. Haven't watched it so much though. I always get so annoyed when it ends way to early... can't understand how they could cancelled it.

Okay guess should quit now...

And yes, many are surprised they do like Buffy. I wasn't. Maybe because I was 13 years old and to a 13-year-old the name Buffy sounds cool.

I also came to Buffy via Charmed actually, I thought Buffy was something like a teen version of Charmed. But to my surprise I soon learned that actually Buffy is the more mature of the two shows. When my family is now re-viewing all seasons of Charmed I'm a bit annoyed by it's (in comparison) rather childish plots. Strange how things can work out!

Hello sk73 and welcome to the boards! I am also a Charmed to Buffy fan. I started watching Charmed and LOVED it so then I was looking for other shows like it and I found Buffy and Angel! :smile: Hope you enjoy posting with us here!!
 
welcome, i LOVE firefly too...... i always feel like i haven't watched all the episodes tho i have lots of times...... best thing cancelled ever

I know what you mean, I never thought I'd end up hooked on Buffy (yet look at how we all ended up!), it's just a very misleading show! Hope you enjoy yourself on the boards, I'm sure you'll find lots to talk about anyway!
