I'm very new here, I haven't even lurked for very long before signing up, which is not like me at all but I was up 'til about 4am last night reading threads from all over the boards and just knew I had to join.

I first watched Buffy in its first run on TV and it's been my favourite show ever since (although I only got around to re-watching it for the first time last year. We bought my Dad the DVD boxset for his birthday and of course, being a thoughtful son, I had to watch every episode to make sure all the DVDs were in working order 😉😀 and I got through the lot in a matter of weeks. Dad's still on Series 1 and at this rate he'll get through it all by about 2030)

I go through phases of loving and hating Joss Whedon for what he's done to me. I watch anything he makes religiously (except Dr. Horrible and Much Ado..., which for some reason I've never got round to watching) but I still haven't forgiven him for, or gotten over, Tara's death or for giving me a big old man-crush on Oz and then taking him away.

Welcome to BB! I feel your pain, I have never really forgiven Joss for killing Tara!

Hope you enjoy it here!

Tara was especially bad the second time 'round because I knew something bad was coming but it'd been so long since I first saw it that I couldn't quite remember what. And because I'm older now and appreciating the show for more than just the action and the comedy, I was just getting really attached to her and to the Willow/Tara relationship when BOOM. I was on the verge of tears for nearly a week!

I still remember the first time I saw this episode, I was in absolute shock. First time that a TV show truly surprised me. Gotta love Joss and how he kills characters at the most unexpected times. Tara and Willow are still my OTP, so I was also pretty emotionally moved for weeks after it happened.
