Hi, I go by Miath. I'm a fan fiction writer of zero renown. I like dogs over cats, my favorite color is a shade of blue that I stubbornly refer to as a shade of purple and I've been a Buffy fan more or less since it was new, albeit I was outside the age range when it was new. I'm glad to be here and look forward to the future conversations.

I'm also a Fanfic writer, possibly of a fraction more renown, but indeed only a fraction 😀

To answer your question my only current story is a OC centric story of a wizard and his extended family as they misadventure in Sunnydale (and LA, but I haven't gotten to that arc yet, it's a ways off).

Welcome. I’m a writer too, but not of fan fiction. I’ve been a long-ish fan of Buffy since 2009. I was 11 when the series started to first air in 1997 so I was outside the age range also, though it didn’t matter, as I didn’t know it even existed back then, lol.

Thank you! I have several forays into my own fiction as well as my fan-writing. I'm not currently published. I was seven when Buffy first aired, I saw it out of a combination of my own interest and I have older siblings who watched.

You say you prefer dogs over cats. Dogs being the chosen animal of Sineya and Cats the chosen animal of the wonderful House of Black Thorn. If I knew how old you are I could use your being too young / too old as an excuse for your being wrong. As it is I do not know how old you are so you are neither one nor the other to me! How many fan-fics have you written? I am a fan-fic writer of huge renown according to me that is.
I see that you describe yourself as a wordsmith, I am also a wordsmith though I've probably got more experiunce of making up new words than yu do.
I take it you are aware the home for fan-fics on the Buffy-Boards is Introduction To The Watchers Diaries.

The first one I wrote on here is on page 24 of Introduction To The Watcher Diaries, Giles This is Molly.
I keep trying to write one as good as that one was.

I have no idea what you're referencing. I am assuredly too young, though older than you're implying. I'm not a child. I've written hundreds of stories over the time I've been writing, fanfic specifically I've written shockingly little of that survives to modernity and I had this habit of pulling it all down from the places I put it up so there's little of my literary legacy left on the net. Memory wise some of them stick around but a lot have been forgotten, alas. Good to know you're renowned! I am not... yet!

I don't make up many words, I just think wordsmith sounds better than scrivener while not being as pretentious as scribe. 😉

I know where fic goes here but I haven't put anything up yet because I'm not sure how to gauge how y'all feel about original characters and I live in perpetual fear of disinterest and hostility. I tend to post my works on FFN. I will make a point of reading through your stuff, thanks for letting me know it exists.

I'm still trying to write to the same level I managed to achieve some twenty years ago. I have yet to succeed.

I've got a question for you, @MiaththeRed, what is FFN?
Of all the Fan Fics I have written, about 130 of them - they have all been put on the In The Watcher Diaries.
When you do get around to reading them all you will see that using original characters is okay, as long as they are good. When you do read you will probably notice my grammar needs improving.
One of the best things about being a wordsmith (making up words). You know it'll confuse the heck out of the reader such words do need to be carefully placed though.

Fanfiction.net, one of the oldest still remaining archives for fanfiction on the internet.

My grammar is also in constant revision itself so I'm not really in a position to be a judgmental sort.

To be pretentious is to attempt to impress people.
 
That is a shame, to state that emojis are active on this forum because they are not. When you use an emoji you might notice they do not move.
A-ha! So, I was being pretentious when I asked what pretentious meant, clever me huh!
