Hello! I’m wintertraces, I’m new here but not to Buffy. I fell in love with her something like…26/27 years ago when I was “surfing through the channels” during a boring afternoon. It has been a hell of a journey through show for kids, DVDs, English subtitles to understand what was really happening, books, comics until now with this new adventure.

This is my first time in a Buffy online community, I’ve been looking around to understand how it works here. I hope I won’t be too harsh, I‘m sorry but English is not my first language and sometimes I could make spelling or grammar mistakes.

Welcome to the forum! I think this compares favourably to most fan forums in civility and intelligence. Dive right in, start posting, and tell us who your favourite characters and ships are.

I don't see any hint that English is not your first language, so don't worry about that.

Nice to see that you're a fan of the Buffster! Me too! Who are some of your other favorite characters, and have you watched the spinoff Angel the Series?

Buffy has always been my favorite character even when she wasn’t so cool among fans 😎 and yes, I have watched Angel but not every episode and not religiously. I love the show, it has always been my comfort show if you let me use the analogy 😃 (I’m Italian, food is always in our mind 😂).

Thank you 🙂. As I said above Buffy is my favourite character and I have no interest in ship wars. I have been a Bangel fan in the first seasons and I sympathized with Buffy’s pain during The Prom (I was going through a break up myself at the time).

So @Wintertraces,
you reckon your use of English is bad, just look at how the Americans have bastardised the English language. You might have thought one of them would have proclaimed their language to be American by now.
So please do not hope you will get better at writing English here cos not all of us err sorry, them, write good English like what I do.
And if you find you have the time afterwards I hope you enjoy yourself here.

A lot of Americans are surprised that Brits speak English, an "American" language, rather than a European one.
Oh NotASlayer, how could you say that the Americans are surprised that the English speak English? Oo, oo oo . . . . the Poms language is a mixture of many European languages that they have adopted.
Many of the Americans have obviously not heard an old Welshwoman or an old Scottish woman speak a fluent 'something' that doesn't even sound English but apparently it is, and the Americans want to be associated with that?
