ok, i tried looking into possible quotes for pro-fantasy critics, and here's what i dug up. some are kind of a stretch, but you never know what will work 😛. hope it helps:

"Check out all the magic junk"
"Well, you can fight monsters naturally, with sticks and stones. Don't recommend it though"
"You're always coming down on me for doing magic that couldn't harm a fly"
"You could have, like, a world without shrimp"
"All 'la la la' with the magic"

Carried away in a good way though, hehe. You really dug up some good ones there. My personal favorites were the "All 'la la la' with the magic" one and "I could so save the world if somebody handed me superpowers", teehee.
 
You all are awesome. After much thinking about it--and reading back through the thread--I've decided on Joyce Summers' suggestion: "There's a Vertiable Cornucopia of Fiends, Devils, and Ghouls to Engage."

Now to the actual WORK of the thesis! (Which isn't much, I just have to do revisions on Ch. 2, turn in the draft and then revise Ch. 3, and write an intro and conclusion. Maybe another week's worth of work, tops.)

Okay, here's one last question for you all, and this is really about the meat of the thesis. I know Joss talked about shooting Buffy as "making a little movie every week," but does anyone remember where and when he said that?

That is so exciting that you are so close to being finished!
I wanted to let you all know that my thesis defense was Thursday morning and I passed. Now, other than turning the final in to the Graduate College, I am finished. Thanks for all the help you guys have given me, as well as the encouragement and good wishes. I love you all.

Now let's see how the dissertation goes. . . . 🙂

How about using "Buffy! Lady of Buffdom, Duchess of Buffonia, I am in awe! I completely renounce spandex!" for the Why Buffy? section title.

Ooh la la. Will have a good read at that when I get the time. It may take me a year to have time to read it all, haha, but I'll get there. Eventually. ;)
