I know to some this could be a touchy subject even for me Im so pro Willow and Tara its not even funny but this question is one I would like some thought on.

Ok this is the case of the bullet that killed Tara Maclay I would like to find it.

Scenario 1: The bullet never left her body the front chest wound was due to a rib breaking outward pushing though her skin
(what I would like to happen)

Scenario 2: Bullet exits the front but misses Willow who seems to be in front of Tara at the time close enough to get to her prutty fast at least.
So the bullet embeds its self some where in there room
(still doable)

Scenario 3: The bullet fragments and only a shard exits the front chest area
(again doable)

Or do you have your own thoughts about where it would be?

I personally think all of those are possible outcomes. I agree with Willow being in front of Tara, although I'm sure if I went over the scene again, I could pick it apart more easily. Although, was it ever shown in the show a police unit going over the scene? Possibly looking for evidence?

I have never thought about it. But with blood coming out on the front side.. hmm. Ya know, I think I always assumed it just went straight through her. Yet, you don't really see it go anywhere else. I guess it was just too irrelevant when they made it. I am curious what others think now, hah

I think if it had gone directly through her, it would have hit Willow as well. But I don't think it never left her body either, considering the blood splattering on Willow's shirt. I think the bullet fragmented and only pieces went through. But all of the scenarios could have been possible. I agree that it was probably too irrelevant to even think about at the time.

Interesting question, though I don't really have anything to add that the others haven't already said.

Alright, so I've thought about this. The bullet could have in no way gone completely through Tara without hitting Willow, considering that she was standing right in front of her. Hence, that eliminates one explanation, and leaves two more. All in all, I think the bullet shattering would be a more realistic option because that would explain the blood-splatter on Willow's shirt, and the bullet hole on Tara's chest.

I would say the bullet was still inside her because normally when a bullet exits the body it leaves a much bigger wound as it passes through usually much bigger than the entry wound (or so I've learnt from CSI). Therefore judging on the size of the exit wound to the chest not being overly large, I would imagine it stopped at the ribs causing the ribs to break and then shatter and in turn cause the chest wound that we see covering Willow in blood. That's my opinion.

However the Tara Maclay wiki entry states she was shot through the heart (not the best source I know) but I find that unbelievable because surely Willow (potentially) could have been wounded too if it had enough force to go straight through Tara's heart. I find that fairly improbable unless its a plot hole which, lets face it, has been known to happen.

I always thought that dint make sense, since Warren was on the ground floor outside and Tara was on the second, the bullet should have been at an angle, exiting her bod upwards, maybe it went over willow and into the roof?
