Help me pick a movie!

Okay, so me and my friend Kiersten are having this "movie night" and I need help because I want to rent some scary movies, but I don't know which ones are good. If you can tell me which ones you like or if you can think of anymore, please do...
Here's a list I have so far...(I'm not getting them all-just tell me which one's you've seen and liked)

-The Shining
-The Exorcist
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Original 1974)
-The Silence of the Lambs
-Halloween (original 1978)
-Psycho
-Seven
-Rosemary's Baby
-Poltergeist
-Nightmare on Elm Street
-The Thing
-The Evil Dead
-Carrie
-Night of the Living Dead
-The Omen
-Henry: Potrait of a Serial Killer
-The Hitcher
-Lost Highway
-The Innocents
-Picnic at Hanging Rock
-Session 9
-Tell Me Something
-The Vanishing
-Child's Play
-Blair Witch Project
 
I've always been interested in Rosemary's Baby, havn't seen any of those films (and yet I want to do a film studies degree. Hmm)
 
Don't hate me but I did think the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre was scary and good. Also I'd go with the Martin Henderson goodness of the Ring 😀

Halloween is always a good choice (though if you ever watch the making of it will make you not scared of it anymore once you find out that
the Shape mask is really a William Shatner mask that they painted and beat up a bit lol
).

How about Resident Evil? Or the Faculty/Halloweeen H2O for Josh Hartnett goodness?

I've seen Session 9 and I didn't think it was really scary, and I only found the last scene of Blair Witch scary - both of these were kind of boring imo. Ditto there's one scary bit in the Shining and the rest was long, but that's just my opinion.

Oh, and the Lost Boys. Not scary, but cool anyway 😀

Blair Witch was horrible! I wouldn't put yourself through that. Holloween, the first was awesome! The Wishmaster (The first one) was pretty good. Has a cameo by Robert Englund. But I am a Nightmare on Elm street Junkie. Have the complete box set-plan on watching it tomorrow myself! Good luck hun, hope you find what you're looking for!

-The Silence of the Lambs (I remember the fist time I saw it, I was like 7 years old and couldn't get it out of my heads for months. Then I got all obsessed over it)
-Halloween (I like all of them except that nr 5...)
-Seven
-Nightmare on Elm Street
-Carrie
-Blair Witch Project

And there are two movies I didn't like and they are:
-The Exorcist (Boring!)
-Poltergeist (Same as above)

you saw Silence of the Lambs at 7 - what were your parents thinking!
The ones I like out of the movies you mentioned are:
The Shining - have only seen Jack Nicholson one, but I really do like it
The Exorcist - well, you have to see it some time..
The Silence of the Lambs - I would say it's more of a thriller than scary movie, but it is good
Seven - a while since I saw it but.. definetly worth seeing, don't remember if it was scary though..
Rosemary's Baby - I got this scary feeling when I saw this movie.. until the end when everything changed for me (not telling you the end of course, I might have just reacted weirdly)
Nightmare on Elm Street - not the best movie ever but I remember I got so scared when I saw this..

Other suggestions are a South Korean movie called Ryoeng (Or Ghost in English) that I saw a month ago, really good and scary.. That movie also reminds me of Tale of Two Sisters (Janghwa, Hongryeon).. which is also a great South Korean movie..

I'd also say that. I didn't catch the whole thing, but from what I saw, it was scary 🙂

I didn't get to see the Exorcist, but everyone who saw it said it was REALLY scary, so try that one i guess lol 🙂

The Exorcist is a good one...saw part of it a few years agao...scared teh crap out of me...so I ran upstairs and annoyed Caitlin (Kazby) for the rest of the night instead...
 
Haha I remember that, I refused to watch it and plus I dont think my mom wanted me to see it since I was only like 8 or 9 at the time 😛

And I just remembered, this isnt on your list or anything, but the Mothman Prophecies was extremely good IMO. It was creepy. 'Specially since it was based on a true story.
 
You should see Childs Play! It is such a cool movie! It isn't that scary, but watch it anyway.

My mom won't let me watch the exrocist. she says it will scare me. I says it won't.
 
Okay, so I decieded. I got The Ring (cause I've never seen it), Lost Boys (I flipped out because Kiersten had never seen it), Mothman Prophecies (Kiersten never saw that one either...Thanks for reminding me Kazby!), The Innocents, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Original 1974 and new), The Silence of the Lambs, Halloween (original 1978---I've already seen the H20 one...Josh Hartnetty goodness), and Seven.
