I'm racking my brain over something. What currently running show would you say has had the most Whedonverse connections (cast or crew) over the years? Which one would you say does currently?

Can you name the connections?

I think there are several but I know of Supernatural and Drive. Does Heroes have any? There's HIMYM, Veronica Mars...

Amy Acker, Amber Benson were in Supernatural. was Julie Benz in it?
Forrest from S4 is in Heroes, i can't think of anymore for that show.

i think Lost has a lot of connections. There's Sawyer, Bernard, and Jin and people in the crew as well...the name escapes me right now.

For Supernatural...Ben Edlund, several guest stars...that might be it, actually.

As for Heroes, I was thinking of something else..., so forget that one. I think I was thinking of Bryan Fuller who is associated with Tim Minear, lol. Heroes and Buffy have also had one or two crossover directors, if that even counts.

And going through IMDb Smallville has shared quite a few directors, writers, and like a producer or two with Buffy.

Yeah Julie Benz was that girl who was looking for a faith healer, I think.

Clea Duvall who played the invisible girl in Buffy is also in Heroes. Jeph Loeb who worked with Joss on the Buffy animated project is with Heroes. Loeb is also slated to write an arc for Buffy Season 8.

And Sawyer? Really? Actually it sounds familiar, but I can't place it. How does that connection go?

Speaking of flimsy connections though, I hope they bring Aaron back to 24 this year. You know the white house security guy who helps Jack out sometimes? He was Cassie Newton's dad in Help. I like that actor. He has presence. Aaron didn't die did he? So many characters were dying so fast and furious last year I lost track.

What happened to good TV?
I did not know that! Thanks for the useless but interetsing bit of trivia! I've learnt something today! Aaron was awesome in 24
another Buffy actor in 24...the guy who plays, i think it's Milo, was Jesse, Xander and Willow's friend.

Daniel Dae Kim was an agent in 24 too sometimes...I remember seeing him in random episodes. And I swear that the guy that played Holland Manners in Angel was a big old baddie in season 2...I could be completely wrong. In an office...with the president...I swear it!

Then there was Gina Torres from Firefly
The assassin of David Palmer in 24, season 5 played Rack, and that one psychovamp...

24 also had that council guy, Quentin Travers - as some traitorous cabinet member, something...in league with Sherry Palmer.

I meant Quentin Travers instead of Holland! lol. Seems like 24 has more than quite a few...
How I Met Your Mother has Alyson Hannigan, Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Tom Lenk and Morena Baccarin. Doesn't it have the most?

There's also Harry Groener.

You mean in the history of the series? Because almost all of those characters are gone now, aren't they? Does Tom Lenke still serve coffee there? Is Denisov still around, or coming back? I don't watch it regularly.

24, and Smallville would give it a run for it's money length of the series, I think. If you're talking about current characters this season, I think 24 with 3, is close if not ahead, plus there's Howard Gordon and David Fury in the crew? They even had a shoutout to Jane Espenson last season.

For length of the series 24 had DB Woodside (Principal Wood), Eric Balfour (Jesse), Glen Morshower (Cassie Newton's father), Andy Umberger (D'Hoffryn), Jeff Kober (rack), Harris Yulin (Quentin Travers), Daniel Dae Kim (Gavin Parks from Angel), Gina Torres (Zoe from Firely), Mark Sheppard (Badger from Firefly), Sean Astin (directed the Angel episode Soulless), Tracy Middendorf (Tina in Angel, City of)
