Help: My Cat Needs A Name

Yesterday my parents and I went out to buy a sofa and came back with a cat instead. I have been wanting another cat for ages and thought about a kitten. A visit to the Cat Protection League and I left with a large 3 year old black and white fluff ball. He chose me really, he dropped, showed me his belly to rub it then got up and went to the door.

The shelter called him Tom but, well I'm not keen on it. I need your help to pick a suitable name worthy of a geek cat.

Front runners are Zod, Loki, Thor and Klaus, Eric (from The Crow and True Blood), Alcide, Merry, Pippin. My mind has been a bit blank to be honest, i've been going through all my favourite shows and movies and I can't find anything. Every time I settle I think of new things such as Logan and Lex.

Angel and Spike are off the list!

Castiel? (if you're a fan of Supernatural), (Peter) Parker? Harrison? That has good geek value. Dorian? I like Dorian Gray 😉

No, the Klaus is from The Vampire Diaries.

The Logan would be Logan from X-Men and Veronica Mars.

I had thought about Boromir or Aragorn.

Why didn't I think about Castiel!! Cass for short.

Thank you to everyone that suggested names. Things took a turn in events - the cat is fine, i'll start with that!

Turns out despite, growing up with cats for more than 20 years of my life, I have recently become allergic, I didn't realise this until this weekend. My body has been weird recently, I react to dust, hayfever and have become intolerant to wheat, gluten and dairy.

I was in bits when I thought I was going to have to give him back to the shelter, what if he thought he wasn't loved and no one wanted him? Luckily for me my parents have taken him so Loki (my mum liked that the best) has gone to live with Bob and Willow, my other two cats in a big house with a big garden and will get spoiled rotten.

I still wish I could have him here in my flat with me but its not to be, I will just pump myself full of drugs when I go and visit them.

Aww, that sucks that you're allergic!! 🙁 My little one is allergic to both cats and dogs, and it sucks, 'cause we are definitely an animal-loving family but we can't have cuddly pets because of her allergies. *HUGS* At least you found out now and not before you got REALLY attached!
