Could somebody explain the yellow crayon?
I THINK I kind of get it, but I'm not sure!
Thanks!

I'm confused? You mean the yellow crayon in the series?

Well when Xander and Willow were younger Willow broke a yellow in a pack of new crayons and she was really upset about it, Xander uses this story to help talk Dark Willow out of Destroying the world, then in the ep Same Place Same time, Xander writes Willow's welcome home sign in a yellow crayon as kind of a personal joke...
It that what you were wondering about?

Were you wondering, "what's the point?" Like, why that story out of any memory Xands could have chosen?

I think he chose that one cos it was probably one of the earliest memories he had of Willow. Wanted to push home the point that their friendship goes waaaaay back, and his love is unconditional. And to remind Willow that she often overreacts to problems, lol.

I never saw it like that LOL
Yes! I loved how the lifelong friendship between Willow and Xander was in the background all throughout the series, from the very beginning, and comes front and centre at the end of Season 6. I have some issues with the whole Dark/Evil Willow story arc but the scene on the bluff was awesome. It wasn't just the yellow crayon line that got to me but also the line that Xander says to her before then:

Willow: You can't stop this!
Xander: Yeah, I get that! It just-where else am I going to go? You've been my best friend all my life. World's going to end, where else would I want to be?

Who knows how Xander got into position between Willow and the temple, but it's just amazing how, when she first smashes him with her bolt, you see the doubt cross her face. She's just gotten through smashing around Anya, Buffy and Giles, rebuffing their attempts to reach her but then when she strikes Xander she realizes that she's just deliberately hurt her oldest friend. And Giles, dying in the wreck of the Magic Box, opens his eyes and says "There!"

That 'There' moment is possibly my favourite moment in the entire show.
That one word totally explains what Giles meant when he said that the Slayer couldnt beat her, it also meant that we knew that Xander would save the day....

That scene, to me, is beyond perfect, its tear jerking.....and the excitemnt level was all ready at fever pitch cause of two lines.....

"I'd like to test that Theory"
and
"You need every square inch of your ass kicked!"(?!?!)

That two part season ender was magnificent.................

It's definitely one of my favorite season finales
It's definitely about unconditional love and that, whether she's Darth Rosenberg or just plain old Willow, he'll stick by her cos she's his best friend. I loved how Xander seemed to be the only one who could save the day this time! It was perfect... just perfect!

It was nice to see Xander made the hero this time.
Well he does that now and then doesn't he?

But this was definitely my favourite time and the most important time. I have scene that episode/scene so many times, and I have never been able to keep myself from crying...
