Ok what is going on in the UK.....?

Sky one and NTL and VirginMedia???

From what i can tell NTL are not renewing SKYone channels at end of month because they think we don't watch it??

HELLO??

WHat am I suposed to do without 24? not mentioning everyother program i live for lol...

I caught a glimpse of an ad on SKYone asking for customers to call and register that they want SKYone to stay but I have been surfing and I can't find anything 🙁

Any help guys and gals? I cant live without SKYone can u?

SKYone progs ---

LOST
24
BONES
Battlestar Galactica
The Dresden Files

WTF?!?!
I NEED BONES!! this SUCKS! i have to find out what's going on!

It looks like a big boys' p*ssing contest...apparently they are in the middle of negotiating fees for carrying each other's channels and Sky decided to try and scare Virgin/NTL customers a little in an effort to strengthen their hand...I wouldn't be too worried, I think it's probably an empty threat...still, I'll be bloody sick if NTL do lose Sky One 'cos they do show some of the best stuff available...including the latest Simpsons eps, as well as the ones Foi mentioned.

A life without Bones, 24, Lost and The Simpsons?! Now that is Hell... Thank God I don't live in the UK...

Hope Mr. Pointy is right and it's an empty threat.

See, that's why I wouldn't touch NTL with a barge pole - thankfully we have Sky. 🙂

I think I would be very surprised if they lost SkyOne - I find it hard to believe that they don't think enough people watch it, but who knows...

I just found this article about it, if anyone is interested. 🙂

I'm very thankful I have sky too! Finally theres a good reason for living in Hull!
I seriously wouldn't worry about this.

Its Rupert Murdoch vs Richard Branson and Rupert Murdoch WILL win.
In that, I mean RB will pay for SkyOne because it is THE most watched channel on Sky/Cable.

Just let the propaganda go and wait, trust me.

Wow! I'm glad I don't live in the UK, I don't think I could live without being able to watch Bones, 24, or Lost.

I didn't take any chances and got Sky reinstalled today.

I've been thinking about doing it for a while now anyway but this whole Sky One debate has just pushed me into doing it a little sooner than planned.

I tend to think that BotD is right and I hope that Virgin Media do keep Sky One for all those that can't change but I wasn't willing to risk losing out on half the shows I watch. Especially when we are getting them nearly up to date with the US airings for the first time in... ever.

Welcome to the Club! It's been like that in France since... well it has always been like that... 🙁

For instance, last Monday they only just started showing the first season of Veronica Mars... isn't that retarded? And then they want to forbid us from downloading and watching stuff on youtube & cie.... Hello? ....

*sighs* whoever controls channels is crazy...

I read recently in an article (at SyFyPortal, I think) that Denmark has absolutely no science fiction on it channel schedules at all. Never has had!

Talk about television execs in the States having no idea. Denmark TV execs make them look like Trekkies! 😀
