This is a pretty specific question: can anyone tell me what the stuff Giles injected Buffy with was called? It's really bugging me ::huh1::
 
Giles says in the episode that it is an organic compound of muscle relaxants and adrenal suppressers.

Whatever that means... 🙂

Some compound that was completely made up that had absolutely no believable symptoms. I mean come on. How could it of just taken her slayer ability away. I think it would of been better if it was a magical thing. But it is still one of my favorite episodes.
 
it didn't specifically take her 'slayer abilities' away, it was designed to weaken her in general (immune system (hence sickness, general weakened awareness due to sinus issues), muscles etc) so that she would be reduced to 'average human' or weakling status
to prove that she was worthy of her slayerness, by defeating a vampire without her extra skills/abilities/strength
