I love the Buffy soundtrack CDs, listen to 'em all the time.

But one thing troubles me, I've watched seasons 1-3 repeatedly but I can never find the episode which features this track. They even made a video with Sarah Michelle Gellar in, but I can't spot the track in the actual show!

I'm not sure the song actually featured on the show. The only thing that I know that it was definately on was the album and that's it. I thought they just did that clip where it was supposed to be Sunnydale and had the tie in and stuff...

Maybe it was supposed to be on the show but they could never there wasn't a storyline that it could accompany? Or maybe the clip was some sort of promotional type thing? I don't know.

as far as i can remember, the scene where this song featured had to be cut for time reasons. but as you sid, beacue SMG was in the vidoe, they put it on the album...don't quote me on that, though. i might be wrong.

BTW, i love that song! lol

I know, it doesn't make sense.

The song had already been released as a single in the UK, with a different video. Then it turns up on the Buffy CD, and they've made a brand new video, but I'm certain it isn't in the show! :confused3

Is the video for that song not just like an episode of buffy, second one of season 3 I think, just with the girls in that band edited in to make it look like they fight the demon?

Buffy Version

It does kind of look like they cut and pasted bits of a Buffy ep in so that it would look like they were working with them when they did the clip.

It says there that the Buffy version was released as a UK promotion for the show and later eps were used for the clip.

It's kinda cool how they did that! (With the addition of Hepburn in the episode.)

Song is kinda annoying, though. 🙁

i think the show clips they used where from 'Dead Man's Party' and 'Dopplegangland' but the video was obviously made some time during season 4 as they've used the sets for UC Sunnydale.

i actually like the song, but that might be because i remember when it was originally released, back in 98/99 and that was the kind of music i listened to back then. hey, i was 14!! lol

Isn't it tho? I had a hard time watching/listening to it. But I have...what does buffy say? STUPID EYES, lol. I kept watching...and have stupid ears for listening.

I hate that song. Really. The video is an extra on one of the DVDs, and listening to it kindles a bloodlust where I feel the need to mutilate innocent people as a way of channeling my fury that this cacophony of corn is aurally raping me.

I thought Def Leppard were cheesy, but yeah, this sucks.

^hahaha
i don't know about the exact specifics of other places
but i know that here if Oz they used that song for a lot of the promo ads for s3's return (with clips from anne) and then again for helpless and consequences
maybe it was used for ads in the US too and that's why it's on the album?

or it was just a cross-promotional puppet
something that the WB excelled at back in the day
