Ok, guys - a lot of you know her as anya harris - but that isnt her name! Lol.
So what was her surname as a human?! ??? I mean, she probably didnt have one as Anyanka, but as Anya . . . ???

sunnydale high school yearbook says emerson but in checkpoint she says her name is anya christina emanuella jenkins.so its probably whatever she wants it to be
 
I always thought it was Emerson, cause of what Charles Gunn said... but it could be Jenkins cause i saw it on a web site...now i'm not really sure, lol

Her human name was Anya Emerson - I have no idea why she told the Watchers council it was Jenkins!

she said why she chose the name emerson in one of the eps last season i think but i can't remember..lol

Have you considered the possibility that she may have lied to the Council in an attempt to hide her demon part from them? And it could be possible that she used "Emerson" as a pseudonym to mix in with the student body at the high school.

I don't we don't know her true name, other than 'Anyanka'.
 
That is, indeed, a possibility. I understand and agree that we really cant know 100% what her real name is other than 'Anyanka' - actually, hold up. She was a human 1st, right? Before she became a demon, no? Coz if she was Anyanka woud not have been her name . . . lets just say, we dont even know if she has a real name! Lol!

Yeah, its Emerson. She probably just told the council that it was Jenkins becuase she didn't want them to know she was a demon. Also, she could have two last names. One for her demon life and one for her human life. Its possible, right?
 
Well, we now know that her real name was Aud, but we still don't know what exactly her last name was before she became a Vengeance demon.
 
Aud? Really? Wasn't she just always a vengeance demon so any names other than Anyanka are just made up by her?
 
D'Hoffryn named her "Anyanka" instead of "Aud" when he made her a vengeance demon. If she needed a name while passing as human she could indeed just make it up as she went along, depending on cultural issues, etc.

Once she became mortal again, she was sort of stuck with Anya Whatever. I don't remember her last name being mentioned on the series (or Harmony's, for that matter) during high school.

She told the Watcher's Council it was Jenkins in Season 5, but the "Watcher's Guide" says Emerson. I'm guessing someone somehow forgot a small detail along the way.

I go with Jenkins, myself, since it's been formally declared on the small screen more than once, but that's just a personal preference.
 
In the episode about Anya this season she sings that song about becoming a Mrs. and she says her names Jenkins but she also says she made it up. I never heard Emerson before.

Don't think we'll ever find out what her real surname is.
