Here comes Winter!!!!

Now it's blowing a gale, & as we live on top of a hill means the trees are thrashing about like crazy....

Don't ya just love winter 😕🙄

I think we're all just too drunk to notice it's winter up here.

My daughter is named 'Winter' so this whole thread is quite a laugh.

The night you posted this thread was the coldest summer night in a decade in my city (during summer) the world shivered!

Today its back hot again. I love winter and I want winter back. I'll do anything to (Jon Snow) to hear that "winter is coming" again.
 
It's been bloody cold here again today.
I'm not a lover of really hot weather (can't handle the heat) but it's just Cold, Wet & miserable here at the moment (And of course dark as it's the middle of the night).
 
Weather is all about what you are used to. I'm useless in hety wind and heat. When it comes to snow, though, the most extreme I've seen was 240 cm the winter I lived in a ground-floor flat. After that, I am not easily flustered by snowfall.
 
Today will be one of those crappy too cool to justify air con but too hot to be comfortable days (indoor) here 26C. Please send more Winter in this direction.

The flies are driving me mad! I can deal with them outside but the bludgers got into the badly built house. Also I have been bitten by at least 3 different spiders in the last 14 hours.

I had 30+ suncream on and was at an outdoor wedding for less than an hour and a half, standing in the shade. And I still got a bit pink in the sun, now tanned, and when the air con needs to come back on I will have lovely peeling skin, so attractive. Heat is not all its cracked up to be - unless you like being all cracked up.

Edit - I just checked - its SPF 50+ suncream cost me an arm and a leg, just so I can try not to lose an arm and a leg...

It started raining Saturday night here.....still waiting for it to stop! In two minds as to if I should start building a bloody Arc!

You want our weather, it's yours 🙂

Don't think I would want yours in return though. With my good old Scottish blue skin I burn if someone turns on a light. (Factor +3000 anyone) 😎

And I think you can keep the spiders😕😱

Rain sounds so relaxing. Although I would guess not as fun when the temps are freezing. I am looking for a new home in a cooler place, but even at its coldest, oz is just not that cold. We'd never say no to water here! I remember how upset people got when we had to start using recycled water 😛 I sometimes wonder if we put that on the migration information, if so many would migrate here. There was an issue with the desalination plant too - but I think they covered that up by releasing cheap home sites on that coastline, so no one cares about the consequences now.

The "hot hot" hasnt hit here yet, no heat wave this year, yet. I got drivers arm (burnt only on my right shoulder and arm and side of face) from a 30 min drive into the suburbs after 4pm... I WAS IN THE BLOODY CAR! This sun has no boundaries.

And for extra fun, someone decided to poison the suburb. I have dead lizards, rats and cats scenting the hot summer air. Im really glad to have air con and internet, cos then I can imagine I am elsewhere.

there is a nice area south of Melbourne that has a nice hotel for the people who go skiing there, if the snow isn't too deep.

Mmmmm. Ok, I think I'll stick with the good old British weather. I don't think I could handle heat like that. Spent a while working in Saudi Arabia years ago
& nearly died in the heat.
At least in Blighty you can wrap up & chuck another log on the fire...... 🙂
