yeah I have the original Buffy on Video , altough i like it cos it's Buffy, It's so so so crap compared to todays B, the acting is terrible (but funny), and I love Donald Sutherland as a Watcher.
Can you believe that Kristy Swansen ( I think thats her name, The girl who plays B in the original) said she is better than SMG at playing B and she will always be the original B (WHAT A *****)
anywayto get back to the discussion that is right, in that movie she does get stomach cramps as a natural warning of something evil is near, but I have'nt heard any mention of that on todays Buffy, has any one else???????? one thing i've noticed on B is that they do keep to the Original story line but other things that happened in the movie just gets totally thrown out of the window and nobody questions it. does anyone else feel that??????????

I assume Faith really wanted to kick Buffy's ass the last time they had that all-out, to the death, cat-scrap. Didn't work that time.

Who knows, we might get a chance to see the rematch when Faith returns. Until that time though, Buffy is the reigning champ.

The two-parter episode where Buffy and Faith swapped bodies brought about an interesting thing....whilst Faith was in Buffy's body she was able to pretty much kick the a$$ off Buffy who was in Faith's body...and yet whilst in their own bodies we've seen Buffy seem a little stronger.

So that poses a question about the spirit thing doesn't it? Physical or Spiritual?

As far as the movie goes you gotta take some of the plot and throw alot of the mystical lore and ideals out and apply our modern Buffyverse to it, then you get a few things that apply currently lol

As far as Kristy Swanson goes, she's beautiful and talented but she's not SMG. 😀

Then again Buffy's fighting technique seems to rely on getting sh%t k@%cked in the early rounds then drawing on some kind of unknown energy to win in the final.

WTF? What is she thinking, I don't think that it is up to her to decide! ... I think it's our job, right? ... and we all say Sarah is, right? ... And just for this atitude, I'm going to reward Eliza with the 2nd place for her appearance as Buffy on "Who Are You?".

And then 'The Master' killed Buffy as well, cause she didnt have the strength she had gained from Sunnydale and her friends (which is the only thing keeping her there and alive)

Are those the same friends that brought her back from death, and thus created a vulnerability in the Slayer, which the First is going to use to rule the Buffyverse?

Well, she does speak the truth when she says she'll always be the original Buffy. As to whether she played it best or not, I'd have to say that both performances are completely different - a movie != a TV show. In a movie you don't have anywhere near the time needed to expand on characters.

Well, she does speak the truth when she says she'll always be the original Buffy. As to whether she played it best or not, I'd have to say that both performances are completely different - a movie != a TV show. In a movie you don't have anywhere near the time needed to expand on characters.

She was the first, so that may make her the original ... however she will never be the "real" Buffy! ... which she is in a way aiming for in her comment!

I agree that when thinking 'Buffy', I do get a mental image of Sarah Michelle Gellar in my head, rather than a Kristy Swanson one. And the fact that she is now claiming to be the original one does sound like she's trying to catch a ride on the success train that is BtVS.

as for this 'she's talented and beautiful' thing is she hell talented her latest appearence is in Dude Where's My Car (so so funny gotta see it) she is so terrible!!!!!!!!! and beautiful i'd rather see Joss Whedons backside in a dress!!!!!!
but that's just my oppinion
