OK, I have just finished season 1.

I loved the entire series except the end of Sylar.
What an anticlimax that was.
It felt too busy with all the 'Heroes' having a go.
Ohh and Wicked, when you read this, why did you suggest in another thread that DL wasn't in season 2. Is there a comment on that somewhere because he didn't die, so I'm assuming there is some casting stuff(Note - I haven't read anything on season 2 because i've only just finished the 1 season).

Anyway, I loved how 'Hiro' and his father worked out.
I love that Niki and Jessica became one.
I loved that Parkman got a backbone. I hated him up to the episode of 'Company Man' then he actually grew on me.
OK, I still don't get the big fuss on Peter. The guy bores the crap out of me and the actor that plays him, I cannot believe how poor his acting is. When he talks I study his mouth and just want to hit him. He acts like he's just had a stroke or something.
I was shocked that Molly was the little girl from earlier in the season. I actually forgot about her. I did like the suggestion of the next bad guy from her, when she said she can't locate him because he can see her.

Does anyone else get annoyed at the frequent usage of the word 'hero' in the show.
It was cute for the first few episodes, now its just crammed in there about 4 times a show just to remind us. FLIPPING STOP IT.

I have more to say, but i'm going to bed so i'll just finish on Hiro. I loved where he ended. It was brilliant to see him travel back to the 17th Century Japan.
Can't wait for next season.

Meh...I dunno. I liked the ending. What I wanted with the season finale of Heroes was something I was going to be shaking my fist about until the end of the summer. I'm still twitching about Peter and Nathan. .:twitches:.

I really, honestly, seriously screamed when Hiro shanked Sylar. I'd grown to like him - I can't remember the episode name off the top of my head, but after the episode with his mother, I really started liking him a lot. I like my baddies to have some depth, and up until that point [and 'Six Months Ago'] they hadn't really given us a lot to work with as to what his motivations were, and seeing him reflected in his mother was a really neat for me to watch.

Yea, okay, given. I felt like that when the season started. I got used to it, though, and I actually found it neat that everyone got to play their role in the season finale. It was rare throughout the rest of the season that a lot of those people got screentime together. I like how they linked the different threads of the story into one.

.:coughs:. As a Milo fangirl, I feel it's my duty to state that Milo Ventimiglia was born with dead nerve endings the right half of his lower lip. It's not necessarily something he can help, but to be fair, it kind of annoyed me for the first couple of eppies.

But Peter...I dunno, I guess I feel for the the poor bastard. It really does seem he doesn't get any love. And all I can think is that how mentally abused was he to spend all his time thinking that he needed to be 'extraordinary' to be noticed by anyone.

What I really loved was the whole dichotomy between Peter and Sylar. They are, basically, the same person. It kind of shows what a force Peter could've been to the dark side if he chose. It was neat to watch.

Oh, and HIRO. Who the hell does not love Hiro? srsly. I want me a little Chibi Hiro who runs around screaming, "YATTA!" in his little Chibi voice. But that aside, I let out a little EEP when he was dropped in feudal Japan. I thought it was badass way to end the episode, because now I'm twitching because I need me some season two.

Speaking of season two...I have a couple spoilers I'd like to post, but I think I'll abstain from that unless someone begs me really pretty. Don't wanna ruin it, y'know.

I'm really not that big of a Hiro fan. I mean, he's ok.

Sylar is by far my favorite character though.

I posted them on after-darkness, but I still had some questions:

Whatever happened to the haitian?

Why dont Peter or Sylar try drawing the future more often so they would know what would happen? Wouldnt that seem more logical than most anything else?

Since Peter absorbs other heroes' abilities, doesnt that mean that Peter can teleport like Hiro since he met him in the subway? Just being around another hero means he has their ability right? Does he have every ability now that Sylar does?

What do you think of Nathan/Peter's mother? I havent heard a lot of talk about her...

See thats what bugged me about the end.
I mean you have Niki have a go at Sylar, Matt have a go, Hiro have a go, Noah Bennet has an go and then Peter.
I just felt that was clumsy because they'd set it up to be everyone.
Sylar wasn't showing too great a threat, in comparison to how he was built, to warrant that much.
I loved how they were all there, but it may have been better had they built it a little better in that last episode.
I mean the teaching of Hiro to fight and all he does is 'shank' him!!
Ohh and Peter/Nathan really bugged me because it was far too annoying.
I wanted more.
I hope Nathan isn't dead though, I loved his character - peter, I can do without.

Peters Lip thing

I didn't know about that, but still, it annoys the crap out of me. I can't pass it.
I'm shallow and vain, but it just annoys me.
I could pass it if I thought his character was interesting and/or if his acting was really good, but it's not. Alot of the time, it feels like he is just reciting the words he has been told to, not acting them.

I hated the Peter/Sylar stuff. I just don't see why they are making him THE hero, I just don't have any love for him. Hiro, he, in my opinion, is the one worthy of being THE Hero.

His ability is 'stealing' others by killing them. Does that mean that Peter can absorb the abilities that manifest or just the one to steal.
I do know, from what we know of the absobing power, that Peter can now 'kill' others and take their abils, but that doesn't mean he can now take all that Sylar has, do you get me.
I guess it could go either way, depends on which way the writers wish to go.

I absolutely love her.
I love how calculating she is, but I wouldn't call her evil(nor would I call Linderman evil in regards to the bomb) I would call them misguided.
They believe they are doing something for a greater good.

I hope she is in the next season more, but I don't remember seeing her power, what does she have?

i agree. i think for new hero fans, if they dont expect a lot from the finale, they wont be let down. granted, finales are kind of supposed to be big and awesome, to keep viewers interested in the series, but i think true fans will be interested anyways, even though the end was quite the let down.

Yea, I can see that. As far as finales go, that one was a tad lackluster, I will say. I'm not disappointed with it by any means - I just don't think it sucked as bad as some people make it out to. It did was a first season finale was supposed to do - tie up some loose ends, open up some new ones for the second season.

I hope Nathan isn't dead though, I loved his character - peter, I can do without.

I've noticed that about Peter - people either love him or hate him. I do think, though, that as a character he's a bit overrated. That doesn't put a dent in my extreme obsession with Milo, though, so I guess I can't say much.

The way I hear it, neither Nathan OR Peter are dead. They're basically playing 'dead'. The whole thing revolves around Peter or something - the details are fuzzy, but Kristen Bell has been brought into the show and apparently her character has something to do with Peter's 'death'.

I hated the Peter/Sylar stuff. I just don't see why they are making him THE hero, I just don't have any love for him. Hiro, he, in my opinion, is the one worthy of being THE Hero.

In my eyes, both Hiro and Peter are THE HEROES. I think Peter got top billing because he's basically Sylar's opposite, and they wanted to play with these two characters as the two big superpowers of the show.

There's been a lot of discussion about that. Also about why Peter couldn't just fly away himself because he's absorbed Nathan's ability. I think Sylar's true ability is to 'see how things work' - he can sort of visualize processes and figure out stuff like that. Everything else he's stolen. Peter also got the telekinesis from Sylar, so he's able to mimic the powers Sylar has stolen. I guess it depends on which one he's using or something. I haven't quite figured that out, yet. I'm working on it.

I, personally, think that Peter's system was so overloaded by the nuclear power that he couldn't fly. I also thing that he can mimic powers based on pheromones - but that's another dorky theory of mine I can't quite back up yet.

And Mrs. Petrelli does have a power - she was a member of that SuperSquad type thing involving Linderman and some other people. So she definitely does have a power, we just haven't seen it.

It was OK, I just guess I wanted more after such a brilliant build up.

I watched it as 2 single episodes, maybe had I watched the last 2 as a 2 parter, it would have been better.

Well as Mesektet Ra points out - Peter uses Telekinesis.
That he gets from Sylar who gets from a 'Hero'.
This means that Peter should have every Ability Sylar has.
Having said that, there is some continuity errors in the show(pretty big ones too) for example, In the beginning of the season we learn that Mohinder was 2 when his sister died, then later he was born months later because he was the cure!!!

Again, as MR points out, she was part of the group of 'Heroes' that wanted to change the world.
I hope she has a cool power.
