So - the premiere. My first overall impression? I was kind of disappointed. There was too much Hiro and not enough Peter/Sylar. I know that was part of the show...the whole "what happened to peter?" and "is sylar really dead?" but, I felt like they were nearly cut out of the entire show until the end.

The story with Hiro and his "hero" was boring very quickly. I was confused and nothing seemed to tie together.

I like how much Matt Parkman there was. I really like his character and I think he is going to play a vital role, especially since he's taking care of that little girl now (what was her name?). I have one question though. Was he getting divorced before this summer? I thought he was patching things up with his wife.

Claire's future boyfriend
- the boy that Claire met at school was really cute. I was kind of disappointed that he can fly though. It's just like her dad. I hope she joins the cheerleading squad.

I really hope Nathan/Peter's mother doesnt actually die. I like her. She adds tension to the show, without being an outright "bad guy".

When I saw Peter, I first thought it was Sylar and I was super excited. Then, when I realized it was Peter (with a fabulous haircut), I was even more excited. I think, although his story seems cliche from next weeks previews, he will be an interesting addition to this season, since he doesnt remember anything.

I think that's it for right now...

OK, i've not seen this episode yet, so I can only comment on a couple of things you have said(though if you were on YIM I could talk better).

Matt's character really did grow in the last few episodes so i'm glad that he is still interesting.
As for the 'Divorce' thing, they were really together at the end of the season HOWEVER, in about 7 episodes there is one called 'Four Months Earlier' which suggests any questions you have will be answered there.

They are giving Peter amnesia - i'm going to borrow a line from Buffy.

..Bored now.

Ok. First I assume MAtt and his wife got divorced for her and her unborn kids protection. I just watched % years Gone earlier and they had split and seemed like that was the reasin. I assume it is again. He wanted to keep his kid safe.

Second, my fiance has a good theory that maybe the new kid is Peter somehow. I mean they already have someone who can fly and I dont see why they would have him have the same power as someone else. Plus he was watching over Claire for a reason. MAybe some sort of astral projection thing?

Yeah, that's kinda where I was going with interesting. Kinda overdone if you ask me...but then again, if they DID ask me, then the show would probably go differently. But *sigh* whatever, I'll watch and pray they dont screw it up badly enough for me to stop watching.

About repeating abilities...as ludicrous as the show's premise already is, with some of those abilities, it would be ten times more ludicrous if a lot of people DIDN'T have the same power.

Anyway, I wasn't disappointed...in fact I was impressed other than all the scenes set in feudal Japan. Mostly because it improved so much on the season one finale, which blew big time. Plus even as far as premieres go, it was a lot better than the pilot.

Man, why people be hatin'? I LOVED THIS SHIT.

God, I forgot how much I freakin' missed this show. Mohinder opening the eppie? I MISSED THAT. And it seems he's grown a backbone, which is a welcome change from the first season.

I loved Parkman/Molly. It was so sweet. And I love the fact that they're living with Mohinder. I was totally hoping that they'd find a way to make that happen after the finale - which I liked, by the way - and I was glad they did. Although I was kind of pulling for Niki to adopt her [Micah and Molly would have been SO FREAKIN' CUTE]. But I think they're little pseudo-family is sweet.

And DAMN DID MOLLY EVER SNAP. That was so cool and so WTF at the same time. Matt got stuck in his place.

To be honest, I'm not surprised Matt and his wife got a divorce. I know the future eppie from last season showed that they did, but I really wasn't thinking about that when he said it. It just...didn't surprise me. I kind of felt that all the stuff with Matt and his wife was taking away from a lot of good stuff last season, anyway, so I can't say I'm sad to see it go.

I'm wondering what the hell is going on with the Company. I kind of thought they'd back off that storyline a little bit this season...hm. Guess not.

I'm also wonder WTF is going on with Hiro's Daddy/Angela/Random Hooded Dude/Linderman/blahblah Other People. I was a bit confused by all of that.

GOD I LOVED FEUDAL JAPAN. Kensei is awesome. I loved how the whole thing subverted Hiro's stories and beliefs about him. It was amusing. "Oh no! I broke the past!"

I kind of felt the stuff with Claire was cliche and a bit awkward. Which is fine, because something is obviously very broken in that family right now [dinner scene, anyone?]. I dunno...could her schools get any lamer, though? Really? Because we had the Bitchy Cheerleader - HI JACKIE I THOUGHT YOU DONE DIED, GURL - and the Hot Guy Who Likes Our Heroine. Yay for originality.

I like the fact that they're duplicating powers now. I know a lot of people think it's lame, but I think it's realistic. Although...Westy Boy prancing off into the skies is infinitely less cool that Nathan shooting off full of AWESOMENESS. I like the concept.

The twins...were cool. I wonder what Maya's power is. .: ponders :. Alejandro was just getting irritating. MAYA MAYA MAYA OMFG STEP OFF MY SISTER OMFG MAYA MAYA. We get it, kthnx.

PEEEEETTTTTTEEEEERRRRR OMGGGGGGG. I have no words. I don't care if everyone thought it was lame, I ALMOST DIED. srsly. That was just...God, I have no words.

Peeve: NO SYLAR. I missed that hot brain-eating man. Where he be, I wonder?

Well I watched the episode a few hours ago and I can barely remember what happened. Needless to say I wasn't impressed. Then again I was never a huge Heroes fan (well not since after the first few episodes anyhow). I'm gonna keep watching, obviously, I just hope it gets better.

I posted this on AD, so i'll just post it here

I watched this last night and I have to say it was pretty good.

First of all - Hiro.
I love how he is being set up in this and to me(I think it was either here or BB that someone suggested it) he will be his 'Hero' Kensei. Seems he will do the first few acts and maybe even fall in love with the Swordsmiths daughter. I don't mind that, it's actually quite fun. I kinda expect that 'The Legacy' that His father was going on about is actually that Hiro was destined to go back in time and do this and that Kensei is directly related to the family in that Hiro will be his own great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great(and so on) grandfather.
At the very least it was very pretty to look at.

Matt/Molly.
This one is really interesting. Matt is actually one of my favourite characters now and i'm loving Molly. Such an adult role for someone so young. The girl is playing it brilliantly and I loved it when she called him on his using of the power to pass the NYPD exams.

Bennets.
I'm definitely hoping for more Noah, he is brilliant. I'll be honest, I could do with less Claire. She, in my opinion, is only in as much to keep the 'geeks' tuning in. I'm getting bored of her and she isn't as pretty as she was last year(what the heck is wrong with the size of her forehead)..
The family dinner was incredibly creepy. I loved it.
Not sure on the flying boyfriend though, however I did like the suggestion of Wicked(on BB) that he may be linked with Peter.

Peter/Nathan - BLAH.

Angela/Sulu(I forget his name)
I am sad that Hiro's dad is dead(great that Ando is still very much around) as I loved his role, but i'm far more pleased that Angela is still alive. She is by far one of the more interesting characters, motivationally speaking, and definitely the most compelling Petrelli(in my own yadda).

I hated Mohinder last season, but the teaming of him, Noah and Matt is really interesting to me. I'm looking forward to this soming season with him as he seems to be getting stronger.

The Brother and Sister.
I think that whatever her abiility is(i'm thinking an inverse empath - whatever she is feeling she can thrust on others but in a severely exaggerated way) her brother is the opposite. Together they are the 'Virus and the Cure'.

The Irish guys with Peter near the end.
OK I have one question. Dominic Keating is an English actor. He is playing an Irish mobster(or whatever) with a very poor Irish accent. Why didn't they have him play Kensei(who is an English man played by an American with a poor English accent)? O well, what do I know, I wasn't casting.

On the whole though, great episode and I can't wait for more.

...(great that Ando is still very much around)

i totally forgot about Ando. when i watched it and saw him, i was like "oh hey! Ando!" and my sister kinda gave me one of those WTF looks. (this was the first episode she has seen)

i thought the same thing when i saw the Irish guy. i was like - wait, is he irish? the accent was baaad. i didnt notice as much on the kensei guy. i assume you noticed more since its how you actually talk 😉

Holt something or other (one of the other Irish guys) is American. Hes a semi regular on CSI Miami.

*sets head down on desk and sighs*

Why do I still have yet to see Sylar? They keep teasing me with previews and then, what do they deliver? NOTHING!

Was I the only one that was praying that Kensei was really dead? And then was crushed when he healed? C'mon. He's annoying.

I liked whats happening between Claire and the boy at school (name?). But then he saw her...tsk tsk. He's pretty cute though.

THE HATIAN IS BACK!! YAY!! When he showed up the last time at HRG's work, I got all giddy.

Which reminds me, we're definitly repeating abilities. Maybe there's gonna be a heroes war? Two sides - and they would each feature a flyer (Nathan and the boy at school), a healer (Claire and Kensei), and maybe an invisible guy (um, the guy that we met last season and whoever attacked Ms. Petrelli?) and then whoever else we meet along the way. Their leaders would naturally be Peter vs Sylar. But that's a stretch of a theory...

Ok, this whole thing with Maya and her brother is kinda confusing to me. I've heard rumors that
she's a virus and he's the cure.
But apparently it was supposed to be established in the premiere episode. Was that established and I just missed it? Either way, I really like her. The whole black tears is just soooo cool.

I wish, again, that there was more Matt Parkman. It was nice to finally see him, Molly, AND Mohinder together though.

So where are Nikki and Micha? And since I havent seen him in the previews, I'm afraid that DL might have died, which would suck, 'cause I liked him.

*sigh*

*deep breath*

YAY SYLAR!

I really missed watching him! Zachary Quinto is SO attractive (and watching him go from 24 to Heroes shows me he can act too.)

But alas, Candice is back? I don't really remember what happened to her in the finale. Didn't she die or something? I don't remember how Micah got away.

Which reminds me -

Micha and Nikki are back. But *sniffle* it appears that DL didn't make it. That sucks, I liked him. His "grandma" or whoever that was supposed to be looks like she's going to become a bigger part. Maybe she has abilities too and will teach Micah something? I wonder what's going to happen with Nikki. Will Jessica be no more? The line that Micha said to Nikki before she left, something like "whenever you say that, you do something bad", kind of caught me off guard (for lack of a better term) but he was absolutely right. Forshadowing maybe?

That new guy that is working with The Company is boring.

It seems that the more I see Mohinder, Parkman, and Molly together, the more it appears that Mohinder and Parkman are almost gay. I mean, I don't think the show will go that way... but eventually I think they're gonna at least play it up as a cover for something in the show. *shrug*

I'm glad that Claire and West found out about each other. It seems kinda soon though. They could have had a lot more tension there than they did. Oh well.

HRG's picture at the end was a good twist. Those pictures always come true. HRG is gonna get shot. But - what if it's Sylar? As HRG? And West shot Sylar? I like when I'm wrong though, because then I'm suprised. I don't have a clue where they'd go with that though. I don't really want HRG to die. He kind of reminds me of my favorite teacher in high school. 😀

Hiro's story is continuing to bore me to death. Kensei is annoying and it doesn't really seem to get anywhere each time we watch him. I do like Ando though. I haven't decided if I like the fact that he doesn't have an ability yet. I like that not all the characters have abilities, because, hello, we need normal people in the world too. But I want Ando to be a bigger part than he is. I realized something while I watched the show too. Hiro doesn't know his dad has died yet.

I'm really liking this Maya chick. She's pretty hardcore and her brother is awesome. I can't wait to see the episode that explains how they got where they are. Did they maybe kill their parents? I want them to meet up with Mohinder but I think their story is interesting enough that it doesn't need to be rushed. I wonder if they're close enough to California to run into Claire. I wonder if she could survive them. It would truly be power vs power. Hmm....

Now my favorite character (besides Sylar of course) - Peter Petrelli. I really want him to get away from those Irish people. I want him to get back to Claire. The "hookup" between him and that Irish chick was so forced and bad. She's like 20 years older than he is anyway. I hope he leaves them soon...

And oh man - if the previews really indicate what's going to happen the rest of the season, this season is going to be SO good!

Edit:

Peeve: NO SYLAR. I missed that hot brain-eating man. Where he be, I wonder?

See, this has always been confusing to me. It hasnt said outright that he eats the brains, but most people just assume that. But, yesterday, after he "killed" Candice and taken her power, her head was still intact. In fact, he pulled a piece of the coffee cup out. How does he get the power then?

That's how it appears, but Sylar wasn't able to use her power so it may just be one of her allusions.

OK

NICHELLE NICHOLS!!!!???? Brilliant. I was so impressed when I saw her, I didn't know she was to be in it - so far they've had Sulu and Uhura next year it's Spock(if Sylar lives another year that is - hehe) then it has to have the Ledge that is Kirk.
I think her character will have a power. She's from New Orleans and looking after Micah, she's gonna have some crazy (but cool) Voodoo power.

Niki working with the Company, man it would be SO cool if they turned her into some sexy stealthy assassin.

I hate that DL is dead - I loved his character BUT I expect we will get one more episode with him in - Four months ago.

Hiro IS Kensei in the story, it seems obvious to me. Even though this chap is doing stuff now, seems that Hiro will be the one who gets the girl(who I'm confident will travel to the future with him).

Ando - I want more Ando and after spending so much time with Kaito, why doesn't he just go work with the daughter/sister? Wasn't she given charge of the company?

Peter - I am so bored with the mob-story.

Claire I was SO bored with her for most of the season so far BUT i'm hoping it heats up now that she knows her dad (More I see more I feel is the best character) was so callous in his job.

Mohinder is starting to let me down again, I want the Mo from the first episode and from the latter part of the series...
And yes Kryptonite, they are quite coupley.

Candice is dead but I didn't much like her new look. I think she probably is dead because she really wouldn't have allowed 'him' to see her like she was.

I think that the worst thing about the HRG thing was that in the picture Claire was kissing Flyboy. That, to me, suggests that it might not be exactly what we think.
Either way HE BETTER NOT DIE.

Sylar - OK, so glad he is back. My second favourite character. I think he couldn't se his power because whoever has been looking after him (this seasons big bad that Molly is scared of?) has used some kind of power suppressant, either that or the 'cure' that Niki was after from the company has been used on him and he is the guinea pig - I don't expect it to last long.

I'm kinda getting bored with the Brother/Sister thing BUT it would be supremely awesome if she turned to the darkside and he stayed on the good.

Is anyone else thinking that West doesn't have family in CA and purposely sought out Claire knowing full well of who she was on Day 1? He's freaking creepy if you ask me.

I wanna know how he doesnt know about her dad if he's been watching her (we saw him standing (hovering?) outside her window a few episodes ago. I doubt that was a one off)
