Met a guy, I think he is like my version of Tara. No matter how shitty I look, or what I do wrong he still thinks I am perfect. I am so love struck! 😀

I know this is really not the point, but this reminds me of a conversation paperdoll and I had with a friend last night. He argued that, on a forum about Buffy, there couldn't possibly be any straight guys.

Well to all of you who gave me congrats ect. thanks a bunch! Edmund I am a guy not a boy and maybe you should look more closley at the gender part of people's info. One last thing I find soo very odd is that my thread turned into a joke by people saying that we are all gay ect. I find that to be so crude! I mean come on people GOD grow up!

Well, Edmund if you started a thread about how happy you are about finding someone who actually cares about you would you want it to be made into a humor fest??? I doubt you would also that isn't a pole up there!!!

Honestly, as long as people weren't incredibly nasty, I wouldn't care.
But then I don't need people who I don't really know saying they are happy for me. I'm not that insecure.

You made your announcement - if you wanted kudos, you should have said, if you didn't want conversation, you shouldn't have posted!

Either way - meh, it is done now!

Sorry Cordycat, but this wouldn't be much of a thread if people just said, "congrats." They're called discussion forums for a reason. You've found someone who makes you happy. Good. But if you want to stay happy, I advise not getting too upset over a harmless joke.
 
Congratulations CC...you're very lucky to have found that special person.

Just as a side note...I understand that you didn't appreciate the humour found in the thread but it is part and parcel of posting on these boards. Everyone wished you well and the discussion progressed from there. There was no harm intended at all.
 
Seems to me you're the one that turned your thread from an announcement of love to a discussion consisting of throwing insults at people. It's called fun, dude. Chill.
