I read, just on a forum of one of the members, that they call(ed) it the British Buffy the Vampire Slayer... Just that it's much darker. I, unfortunately, can't find the series here in Belgium (the same problem with "Skins"). Anyway, a bit information.

From its outset, Hex appears to be the story of Cassie Hughes, an attractive but withdrawn young woman who enrolls at the school but can't quite seem to fit into the social milieu. The second series shifts the focus from the departing Cassie Hughes (Christina Cole) to a new heroine, Ella Dee (Laura Pyper).

It only had two seasons and aired from 2004-2005. It has the follow lead actors:
Christina Cole (love her: Jane Eyre, What a Girl Wants) as Cassandra "Cassie" Hughes
Jemima Rooper (Lost in Austen) as Thelma Bates
Michael Fassbender (Band of Brothers, 300) as Azazeal
Jamie Davis (Footballers' Wives) as Leon Taylor

So... has anyone seen it? I'm quite curious about this series (although it's "old"). Did anyone liked it?

I've watched Hex and think that it is very goot, but I wouldn't call the British Buffy. It's still worth watching.

It was such a good show! I understand why they would call it the British Buffy, but it's not really the same show or anything like that. It's just a Supernatural show with prominent female characters. You should try to get it though - it had a lot of potential and could have been even better if it had lasted more than 2 seasons.

Did it ever come out on DVD? As always in a lot of these shows I always like one of the supporting characters. I can't remember her name, but it was the female ghost.

Yeah it did come out on DVD, at least in the US and UK. Thelma was the female ghost, and Cassie was the female lead 🙂

Thanks, now I know what Santa can bring:whistle: Thelma was a strange ghost as I remember her eating chrisps and stuff? (unless that was before she died).

Yup Thelma even as a ghost was eating junk food.

I wasn't as big on it as Buffy was, it was iffy for me in some places but it is certainly worth watching.

I liked Hex a lot, it definitely wasn't perfect but highly entertaining...I definitely recommend giving it a shot if you like dark supernatural dramas...

I loved Hex, especially where they left it on a cliff hanger in season 2, I was so gutted they didn't bring it back for a 3rd season as it was so popular on Sky 1.
