Steven, this a great board. You'll find Bangels, Spuffys and Brileys here. You'll even find a crazy guy who ships Snoyce. 😛

Although I'm a Spuffy, I still love Bangel. And I even like Briley too.

Have you seen Angel yet? If not, stay away from this board!! It's chock full spoilers. There are a few things that happen in Angel that I'm so happy I didn't know. Although I love BtVS more, the last episode of Angel could be my favorite in the Buffyverse.

Hey Steven. Welcome to the Buffy Boards.

I'm not real sure what I dislike about the show. I mean I love everything. It's hard to specifically pick out something I liked. but I like a lot of stuff on the show. So really the list could go on and on. Right.As I was re-watching Buffy again. I'm shipping Bangel all over again.🙂
 
Iv'e seen BITS of Angel but not every episode of every series. Is it anything like Buffy? In the way of action/romance, bit of everything?

It is not BtVS. It's more serious and darker. But it's still Joss Whedon, which means it's better than 90% of all the other shows on TV.

There are a few things that happen in Season 5 AtS that I hope you don't know about. The difference between BtVS and AtS (in my opinion)

1. Buffy is just better
2. Buffy has many GREAT episodes (Hush, The Body, OMWF), and Angel doesn't
3. Angel has a character that I absolutely HATE and is on for 1 1/2 Seasons
4. Angel has a GREAT final episode. It is PERFECT and compares with the best Whedon episodes ever.

It might sound like I dislike AtS. I don't, it's just not as good as BtVS. But many people think it's better. If you do watch it, start from the beginning. and check out how BtVS fits into Angel. For example, on BtVS, Season 4, there is scene where Buffy goes to LA, and Angel appears and says something like "I'm sorry about what happened in LA." You have to watch AtS to find out what happened in LA. They never say on BtVS.


And [MENTION=10354]VisionGirl[/MENTION], Puffy is Parker and Buffy. Puffy is almost as bad as Pillow, which I'm so happy didn't happen. But I was worried. 😛

Angel is soooo good! I can almost say that I like it more than Buffy. But there's just enough difference that I don't say that. For me, they go together, you can't have one without the other, they both complete the "Buffyverse". There's stuff that you will never understand if you don't watch AtS.

Personally, I thought Bangel had a couple moments. Like in Amends, IWRY and such episodes, but overall they were not one of my favorite ships. Every time they get together, something terrible happen(see S2 and S8 for the best examples). I prefer Riley with Buffy, even tho I honestly don't feel like Buffy ever got with the right person. 😛

I think the fans took to Bangel more because it was the first relationship in it, and from what it ment for Buffy and Angel (in the early episodes and the moments they had through the show together)

But had Riley have stepped out of those shadows lol could have been very different lol.

If you don't want to belong to the fighting ships that are Bangel and Spuffy (not the couple but it's fans) you can always join the lovable ones and far more superior Tillow and Angel the series spoiler

Since i'm more settled in here now i just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for welcoming me here. Sometimes when your new on a forum and start out with a question as i did you usually don't get much in return, certainly not the case here as i have been coming on here and reading and answering comments with a smile since you have all made me feel so welcome here! 🙂

Steven, you'll love it here. There are a couple of rules that are really important (and that I really, really appreciate)

1. No swear words. You'll see them once in a while, but generally they are frowned upon. Keep your posts family friendly, although we do have seriously posts on things like Spuffy sex.

2. No serious/mean spirited fighting. As you can tell my Spuffy comment was said jokingly. The Admin and Mods don't like serious fighting. Sometimes people get rude and the mods step in. I've been censored a couple times, and I totally understood why.

3. No serious shipping. What I mean by that is don't say something like "Goby, you're such an idiot... Spuffy is the worst ship in the world and you're a idiot for shipping it."

4. Check out chat. There are usually a few people there and they talk about everything from the Buffyverse to Yoyos to Music.

BTW, I'm on a punk board where anything goes. This is not that type of board, and it was sort of 'weird' at first, but now I absolutely love it.

The great thing is we can all talk about the Buffyverse with people who love it as much as you and I.

We don't see serious shipping the same way but I whole heartedly stand by the statement afterwards in itself.

Speaking of Chat, anyone else having a problem with it? I keep getting the error 500, but it was working fine for me yesterday.

I'd amend that to no negative or mean spirited shipping. I know a lot of us would say we ship quite seriously, but we aim to do it as warmly as possible. 🙂

First off, Welcome to BB. Today's my one year anniversary here, and I'm SO glad I found this place! We're incredibly active.

As to your question, I don't like Spike. I don't like Spuffy either. That's pretty much the jist of what I don't like. I don't like Dawn either, but I still respect the need for the character. Spike, I think should have stayed bad.
