Hello,

I am Allie, obviously lol! I am new to the forum, another obvious statement lol! I have been a long time BTVS/Angel fan and am currently in another rewatch of the shows for the millionth time it feels like. They are my go to shows, my favorites of all time! I am 28, wait no, just turned 29, oops. My favorites used to be Buffy and Angel, but I have noticed that my favorites have changed the older I get. I tend to be drawn to the ones who weren't destined for greatness, but more so to the ones who chose it, the ones who could have walked away, and also the ones with some darkness. My favorite character is Wesley, I think he has the best character arc of all. I also love Cordelia, Giles, Anya, Xander, Spike, and I still do love Buffy and Angel. I could go on talking forever about the characters, but I should leave some stuff for later lol. I was just thinking that I should attempt to make a forum to discuss Buffy on, and then I found this one. This is such an awesome forum and I can't wait to get more involved and talk about btvs/angel with some awesome fans!

Good choices for favourite characters. Wesley is possibley my favourite character in Angel, his character growth is one of the best, and I love the performance. Willow and Spike are my fav characters overall.

Thanks Mr Trick! Happy New Year to you too! Spike is definitely the most entertaining character, so much fun to watch! Darla is one of my favorites to, love her arc on Angel!

My favorite Buffy episodes, let's see the ones that jump to my mind are: The Body, Once More with Feeling, Hush, Fool for Love, Becoming, The Gift, Graduation Day, The Prom, Passion, and many more. Those were just the ones that came to mind.

My favorite Angel episodes: Darla's entire arc!, A Hole in the World, You're Welcome, To Shanshu in LA, Shells, and many more, just blanking for the moment lol.

What about you?
 
Won't give too much away because I am doing a top twenty thread, but a few random choices for Buffy, Restless, Passion, Band Candy, Fool for Love, The Puppet Show, Dopplegangland, Bad Girls.

Some great choices from you. Yeah Angel S2 is a big favourite of mine, it really hits a high gear when Darlia and Dru are on screen together and I did enjoy that whole arc. Waiting in the Wings is a big favourite of mine.

Do you preferr Cordy in Angel or Buffy?
 
Waiting in the Wings was awesome! I am doing a rewatch and am at the end of Angel season 3 and Buffy season 6.

I love Cordy in both, but her arc on Angel is awesome. However if she wouldn't have come back for You're Welcome in season 5, I would not have been happy at all. What about you?

I think she's good in Angel for the first three seasons then goes down hill a bit. Also, I didn't like the visions storyline and felt they tried too hard to make her dark to the point where it didn't feel like classic Cordy. I guess I like her a bit more in Buffy because of that, but she's great in both, and I enjoy the performace. I think such an important character deserved a bigger part in the final season, but it was a great way to round off the character.

I agree, I liked Cordy more in seasons 1-3 of Angel. I know there was things behind the scenes, which is why she had the arc in season 4 and was written off the show, the one thing that Joss really pissed me off at. When she came back in season 5 though, it felt like the good old Cordy. So glad that SMG couldn't make that episode, or Cordy would have languished forever in a coma.
