Not all words are masculine and feminine BUT there are words that can be either or.
This one doesn't need to have a masculine alternative, but its definitely feminine because of its 'ette'.

In fact if you recall the scene, its a comical scene because Joss' word play knowing its feminine.
My comment was based purely on the fact when you started this thread you had no gender marked, add that to the nam, the av and the opening post, it wasn't exactly silly to conclude you had lady parts.

I would just like to point out that they never really called themselves that. Most of the time the group was just called the Scoobies or Scooby gang. In fact I believe the only time they used the title of "slayerette" was in the first season.
