Hello people. I'm new to the forums, also kind of new to the series. Currently watching sason 4 of Buffy and Season 1 of Angel along with that. Gotta say, it's been hell of a fun. I'm a screenwriter, well, won't be going anywhere with that in the near future. I also work as a translator. So yeah, that's about me! I'm glad to find this webiste and i'm thrilled to be a part of the Buffyverse family!

Welcome to the forum! We are always interested in seeing the commentary from people who are watching for the first time. Just curious: what languages do you translate from/to? And where are you located? As forums go, this is one of the most civil and intelligent on the net. There are sections in the table of contents that are for each season, so you will usually find no spoilers there although some people may refer to things that happen later. In the general conversation areas, all bets are off - there are spoilers there.

I live in Turkey. I can work in Turkish, English and French. Thank you for the warm welcome. And I know! I checked other Buffy forums as well and this one pretty much looked like the most detailed. I may even dive into the RPG section very soon.

What has been your favorite storyline so far? Favorite episode?

You're on season 4 Buffy/Season 1 of Angel. What do you think about the split? Do you like one show over the other right now?
 
Welcome. It was hella fun for me too going through the seasons of Buffy and Angel for the first time, though I watched them out of order lol.
I’ve been a long-ish fan of the Buffyverse since 2009 when I started watching both series on Syfy UK. Who are your favourite characters?

Oh man. I can never pick a favorite episode but I guess my favorite storyline would be anything including Spike, Angel and Drussila. Indivudally, none of them are my favorite characters. Although I have to say I enjoy watching Spike's silly events. But I like the turn series took from the season 1, they tried to build up on The Master and I guess gave up on the idea since season 1 was more of an experimental joint, rather than a real storyline. Sorry if I cannot describe myself fully by the way. English is not first language. And I was shocked to see how they got rid of The Master at season...2, as far as I remember?

I like the split. It's a bit complicated but no big deal. It's just more content, which is pretty good. I would I would prefer Buffy as a show. Angel is very good but my favorite part of Angel is that, it usually makes me miss Buffy.

My favorite character is Giles. The second would be Spike. I think both are well written, fun to watch characters. Since I'm almost half way through season 4, it's been a long time since I last saw Drusilla. So, I'm also very excited to see her again.

Awesome! These boards are international, and many of our members do not speak English as their first language.

I, myself, am an English teacher--to students whose first language is not English! 🙂
 
Welcome to the group! When you said you are a screenwriter, but "won't be going anywhere with that in the near future," I thought you meant because of the writers' strike going on in the US right now. But since you're in Turkey, I guess that's not a problem. I look forward to seeing your posts around the board!
 
Welcome to coolest forum around. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the show, especially from a screenwriters perspective. I'd be very wary though until you finish the show. It's pretty much impossible to avoid spoilers on here.
