Hey everybody! It's been a while since I was here... Over a year, actually. But I was enjoying coffee out of one of my BB mugs and then I got a siggy request from someone so I took it as a sign that I should stop back in and say hey. 🙂

Since I was here last, I got divorced and moved back to my hometown in Missouri with my three kids. I've got an awesome job as a social media and brand manager for a local boutique, and life is pretty good.

I've tried a few times to get my oldest to watch the show with me, but she can't seem to get past Season 1. I'm gonna keep trying though, 'cause I have no doubt that she will love it if she can just get past the first season.

Hope all my old friends are doing well! I think about y'all often, even if I don't stop by much anymore. ♥

Hi! Welcome back! Hope you stay for a while 🙂

PS: You have a Buffy-Boards mug? Where can I get one?

I'll do my best to stick around but I'm pretty busy these days, so I don't know how much I'll be able to post.

Unfortunately the mugs are a thing of the past. We used to have an awesome CafePress store where we sold boards merchandise but we were forced to take it down. 🙁

Oh, hi there. Great to see you again. 🙂
Seems like you have had a busy year with both bad and good things happening... can understand that BB hasn't been top priority.

/SK

Hey! Welcome back. Sounds like you've had it tough recently but good to hear life is now treating you well.

Some kids just won't be taught though 😀. I desperately tried to get my niece to watch the movie Labyrinth; she was like "That movie looks silly". I was like "It has puppets!! It's great!" She was like "I don't think so." She's 7 going on 17! 🙄😀

I think your niece made the right decision

You all can all thank me as I tracked her down for my new banner 🙂

With regards to your oldest having trouble getting into Buffy - what I have found with some friends who I have turned is I have told them to skip Season 1 for now, watch Season 2-3 THEN go back and watch 1-7. I feel like its easier to hook them in with Seasons 2/3 and you appreciate Season 1 better sometimes after you know the amazing characters and where they are going. Just a thought!

I'm trying to get my husband to watch Angel with me. We are just starting Season 2 and he seems slightly more enthused although still slightly uncommitted to the process haha. If he doesn't love Angel after Season 2 I give up because that's prime AtS.

That is what it was like for me with Angel. It was really quite a experience to watch S1 for the first time after knowing the characters for so long and so well. It feels less like meeting them as younger versions before they experienced everything and more like, they already are so much themselves and cause the series changed dramatically before they found their footing, its so amazing to see these people you know, in situations you did not expect but yeah it took me many starts and stops to get into Angel, probably because my entry point for some strange reason was always S4 and I was convinced S1 sucked. Maybe it did. But it is a immensely enjoyable before the last season.

Hi and welcome back. @Taake said it best, but your av and banner are stunning. Hope you stay around a while and create more beautiful things 🙂

Welcome back! If you want to get someone into Season 1, just start with Welcome to the Hellmouth, The Harvest, Angel and Prophecy Girl as plot points but The Puppet Show, The Pack, Nightmares and Out of Mind, Out of Sight are great episodes. The rest of it is perhaps not substandard but certainly would not impress someone who is not (yet) into Buffy.

Welcome home girl! And I'm so glad to hear you're out here living your best life. We've missed you greatly. 😀

Hi!!! Welcome back!

I'm sorry to hear you have had such a tough time but I'm so glad things are good with you now.

I've missed you! 😀 xoxox

Great to see your 'face'!!! I made my triumphant return to the boards not too long ago myself and found myself missing seeing you.

That job sounds ace for you! I always thought you could have done really well in a brand role. I'm doing sales/marketing for a craft brewery myself but would love to transition into more of a social media/brand role.

Good to see you again! I can imagine that if you are still divorced with three urchins and working for a boutique, your life must be busy. But that is no excuse! You work with social media, now join us on antisocial media.
