I'm new to the Buffy Boards ! My daughter got me hooked on BtVS in October 2007 (Once More with Feeling episode). Since then, I've jumped into the deep end of the Buffy universe ! I bought her the video game and when she tried to play it the first time, she squealed and tossed the controller to me ! I had never played video games (DDR doesn't count, does it ?) before, but I got the hang of it quickly. Within three weeks, I had conquered all twelve levels (and working full time), then started breaking all my old records !!
I took my daughter to Grand Slam last year and got to meet James (we ended up talking with him several times that day). Just before we left for the day, we went to pic up our picture with him and as we came out of the Photo Op room, ran into James in the Hall. I told him we weren't stalking him and he said he was stalking me ! Wee ! He's such a sweetie. We had really nice talks earlier about theatre (I run a small community theatre company)guitars and a whole bunch of other stuff. Earlier in the day I gave him a t-shirt from work (Riverside County Fire Dept, I work at the HQ in Perris, CA). I sent a question to his website asking if he had had a chance to wear the t-shirt and got a response back with a link to the picture of him, wearing it ! Coooool. Just last month, I went to see The Importance of Being Ernest at the Skirball Center in LA. It's one of my favorite plays. I met some really nice fans of James that night, they found out it was me that gave him the RCFD shirt). James, as well as the rest of the cast, was WONDERFUL ! It's too bad he had to leave right after the show, I would have loved to talk with him again. Oh well, next time ! I have another shirt for him (my community theatre organization, Grand Terrace Community Players).
Peace !
