So, as the title says: Hi. I'm new here. I've read some conversations on the site before, but this is the first time I'm actually posting here. I hope to make it a regular thing. I've been wanting to join some sort of message board and decided "I love Buffy, why not a Buffy board?" So, I made an account, and here we are. I'm not sure what else to say here, so I'll just give my basic history with Buffy.
I was aware of the show's existence for a period of time, but really couldn't say anything about it besides it featuring vampires. It didn't interest me that much and I didn't look any further into it. Earlier in the year though I was talking to a friend and he mentioned how much he liked the show and it was worth watching, so I ended up looking into it and decided to give it a shot. That wasn't until months later though when I got the first season on DVD and started watching it in late June. I enjoyed it, despite some flaws, and later got Season 2 which just blew me away with how good some of the episodes were. So I just kept buying the DVDs and spending all my free time over the course of this past July watching them until finishing them up late in the month. Loved the show and at this point call it my favorite show of all time.
My favorite character from the show is either Spike or Willow, I can't decide which. Willow I think is an overall better character, but I have a bit of a crush on Spike and have trouble not saying him. My favorite season is probably Season 3. My favorite episode is about impossible for me to say, but Passion still sticks out in my mind as one of the best.
I own the first season of Angel on DVD, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I'm thinking about rewatching all of Buffy while watching Angel at the same time to make it like when the shows originally aired.
As ashamed as I am to admit this, I don't own much Buffy merchandise outside of the DVDs. All I own is the Season 8 Library Edition Volume 1 and The Origin graphic novel. I do plan on getting a lot more soon though.
