Hello guys,
My name is Myau & it's a pleasure to be here. I'm a huge Buffy & Angel fan from the UK. I was really into the series when I was younger & continued to watch it throughout it's run but had a break from it for several years.

Last year when I had the flu, I needed something to watch & decided to revisit Buffy. I spent pretty much all of year watching & re-watching both Buffy & Angel (including the Buffy movie, which I love). I am now totally obsessed!

I then got DVDs of the Buffy motion comic, which I loved & this year I plan on delving more into the comic book series'.

My favorite season of Buffy is probably season 7 - I enjoyed the potential slayers a lot. I also enjoyed Andrew being tied to a chair... but what I enjoyed most was The First Evil. I thought it was a genius idea bringing the First back like that.

Favorite Angel season, is probably season 3. Nothing super specific, it's just the season I enjoyed most & felt it was the most well done all round.

Overall favorite episode is "Once More With Feeling". But I think "The Body" is probably the most powerful episode & one of the best pieces of drama I've ever seen from a TV show. Emma Caulfield's performance stood out for me in particular.

Faith was always a stand out character for me for a thousand reasons, I'll save for a more appropriate thread. Spike too, love Spike!

I'm new here as well. Did you enjoy the motion comics? I recently just watched them and then began reading the comics. If you are considering reading them I'd say definitely give it a go. You can pick up the Library Editions Vol. 3&4 and pick up right where the motion comics left off. The dark horse app is pretty handy too if you don't mind having digital copies.

I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the motion comics, I was so pleased with them. Although, I went to rewatch them the other day to find Disc One is cracked & unplayable, so have to replace it. No idea what happened to it, I suspect my cat knows.

Thanks for that tip about Vol 3 & 4 picking right up after the motion comics, I'll keep that in mind when I go to buy them.

Cats are sneaky creatures, may even be the mastermind behind the mysterious disc destruction!

Other than the voice acting, I liked the motions comics. I think it was a nice transition between television to print. I personally avoided the comics for a long time. However, I have finally connected with my inner comic book nerd and am anxiously waiting for the 4th library edition of S8 to arrive. The books are very different than the show but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

If you like Angel, I would recommend reading Angel after the Fall, Issues 1-17. It takes place post season 5 and you can actually get them affordably on the Amazon Kindle App in 4 Volumes. Fray is also fantastic!

Oh yeah, the voice acting was a bit ropy... but voice acting is hard, so... I dunno why they didn't get Giselle Loren to voice Buffy though.

I love Angel, been dying to read After the Fall for some time now, thanks for the tip 🙂.
