Hi, everyone I started watching Buffy properly for the first time when I bought the full box set a month or so ago. Anyway I am up to nearing the end of season 5 now and I have to say I can't stop thinking about it.

Is this the same for anyone else? I am utterly obsessed with it. I just love absolutely everything about it, its the perfect show for me.

Anyway and here is the SPOILER.

I just wanted to mention that I recently watched the "The Body" episode and I can't lie, I was in tears the entire episode. I wasn't expecting it and the way they did it was so powerful and moving. At the start when Buffy is saying "mum, mum, mum" I just burst into tears when she ended it with "mummy".

I had to pause it for a second as all I could see was blur, was it that bad for anyone else?

Anyway if anyone else loves this show as much as I do that'd be great haha.

Also while I know a little of what is to come I am not totally spoilered up with the following seasons and episodes, should I be careful in regards to reading spoiler on this forum or do people still label them despite this show being quite old?

Hi Nikolai! (I love this name btw 😛) First off, welcome to the board, you'll find many people who are just as obsess as you are about Buffy, including me! You're definitely not the only one that found The body that moving. It's one of the episode that I've seen the most, to me it's just one of those episode in the series where they just got everything absolutely perfect. And yes, it still makes me cry even though I've seen it many many times.

As for Spoilers, make sure you stay away from season 6-9 subforum and from any Angel subforum (if you plan to watch that after). Because the show is so old and we have subforums, we do not put things in spoiler tags anymore, so you might want to be careful for those. People will also talk about characters and season in sections like Inside Out, Cast and Characters etc. so be careful while reading the threads. You'll find a lot of references of later seasons in threads involving ship wars, and most specifically the ones involving Buffy/Spike, or Spuffy.

Also I know a bit about the future relationships already.

Also just to throw my opinion in there, I think Angel and Spike are both great and love to see them in relationships with Buffy. I didn't like Riley because of what he did before he left, giving Buffy an ultimatum and causing many problems in their relationship through plain old paranoia it seemed. There is little indication that I saw that Buffy didn't love Riley. Well never-mind.

I like Spike and I am up to the part where they destroyed his buffy-bot and Buffy finds out that Spike was willing to die to protect her and her family. Which was sweet.

Also I really love the idea of a vampire/slayer relationship. As Giles said "it's kind of poetic."

It's totally normal. Once I got hooked on the show, I was obsessed with it too. Still am most likely 😛
