Hi. My name is Kirsten and I just joined. I recently started watching Buffy again after many years (must be nearly a decade!). I'm just over half way through season 2. My favourite character has always been Giles but, on this 2nd run, I've developed a liking for Miss Calendar too.

I look forward to meeting you all.

Have you only ever seen Buffy, or did you watch Angel too? 😛
 
I've only ever seen Buffy. I've never been particularly interested in watching Angel.

Maybe I will eventually. I plan to watch all of Buffy first though. Can't stand the thought of no Giles! 🙂
 
Hi Kirsten! :welcome: to the boards. Lets see if we can get you to watch Angel. Many that avoided the show have ended up liking it a lot. So why haven't you been interested in watching? Because of Angel himself? If so you'll be surprised. Here's an old thread where you can read how others have felt.

Thanks for all the welcomes and the link to the Angel thread. I have to say it's initally because I've never liked Angel. Actually, that's probably the only reason. I may well give it a try later this year sometime.
 
Hey welcome to BB hope you enjoy it here. Have you seen Buffy all the way through on your first watch?
 
I'm not sure because it was so long ago so I'm going to say no. I watched on BBC when it was on UK television. I know I saw Once More With Feeling so what season was that?

Is it true Giles leaves at some stage? I can't remember watching it without him.
 
Welcome to the BB Kirsten!!!!! And i was one of the biggest Angel haters but the show is worth it once it starts developing and he gets so much better
 
I had no excuse for not liking Angel before but my excuse now is because he killed Jenny.
 
Hi 🙂 welcome to BB. Yeah I put off watching Angel for about 10 years. When I finally started, I kept thinking "Oh Giles would never let that happen" or "I miss Giles" 🙁 but I liked it more than I thought I would. Also OMWF is season 6 and yes, Giles stops being a regular...as in his name stops appearing in the main titles :cry:.
 
OMWF is season 6 🙂 try not to get spoiled by posts then if you haven't seen them all chronologically. There's lots of stuff you couldn't even predict later on.
